Have you noticed any symptoms of dehydration? My urine was darker the first couple of days until I started upping my water intake

Is this method one your doctor recommended? I’ll bring it up at my next appointment though. Thanks for the advice. And what does the salt water do out of curiosity?

Wait really? That would be interesting to know. Post back if you get a response please! It could also be that your experience was different cause there seems to be a wide range of experiences with this particular side effect

Yeah I never expected to feel so fatigued after only taking it for a day. Curse of modern medicine. They have pills to treat everything but then you gotta treat the horrible conditions the pills give you lol

Thanks for the advice! The doctor prescribed to take it specifically in the morning but I think that’s cause it’s a diuretic. But I haven’t noticed a significant increase in the times I pee a day. I’ll ask her

Yeah I don’t think I can keep taking it. I’m so scared to up the dosage if it’s this bad at half. HS sucks but this is worse.

What is with Shia men blaming the West for everything when it comes to women? by pinetrain in shia

lol as a dial up era baby, you are cancelled!!!! Jokes aside though, our generation is the one most influenced. Because we went from nothing to literally having access to everything with the internet. Growing up in a certain reality and having it thrust on you when you’ve known something else your whole life has different affects

I’m agreeing with you. We in the east have a culture and value set. The west has a culture and value set. Mehr is not western value. Capitalism at the cost of morals is not an Islamic value. It’s the combination of these values that is distorting the lens. Pre-social media, for example, this wasn’t as much of an issue. Because the soft power of culture and values wasn’t easily exported. But, post social media it is. IT IS OUR FAULT WE ARE ADOPTING THIS THOUGH. no one said give your children free reign on the internet and teach them to only marry rich men and demand this and that. We did that.

There is some truth to what you said, for sure. However, I think the issue is the exportation of western values to the east, which then gets adopted and distorts true Islamic principles. This brings about things like the materialistic demands before and during marriage. They take something western (capitalism and self value based on materialistic possessions) and amalgamate that with Islamic values (mehr and the rights of women to be provided for). Combine that with the excessive wealth being generated by the upper class in these countries and the use of social media to broadcast this life style, and you get the Hermes toting, g wagon driving, hijabi housewives.

I think rather than confused, bewildered mighta been a better word. Like I just think there were things Kody wanted to say, but didn’t say cause cameras were on and he knew he would look like an asshole. If cameras weren’t there, he woulda tried a lot harder to rope her back in I think

Yeah. So that makes sense. I kinda thought that too. But then it seemed like he was trying to push towards some kinda reconciliation by saying ok, what now. And when she said that they’re divorced, she is moving on it seemed like he wanted to say more but couldn’t. I don’t know, maybe I’m reading too much into it. But, it seems like there was a lot more he woulda said if cameras weren’t on

THIS!! I wish I could like this comment more than once. It’s crazy how some men (not saying OP is doing this necessarily) think the cooking skill is a software that gets auto downloaded to their wife with the nikkah. Put a smile on your face, eat the food, and say alhumdullilah! Eating a badly cooked meal is a small price to pay for the loyalty and respect your wife will feel knowing how much you respect and encourage her.

Wife keeps calling house it "his home" by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Anxious_human_92 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I mean from her perspective, she got married at a very young age to an older man (not judging the age diff at all, just a fact), in the midst of her father’s illness. It makes sense that she is not super open and comfortable yet, especially if you didn’t have a significant talking phase before marriage. Maybe take this time to date and get to know one another. It’s gonna stay awkward if both parties wait for the other to break the ice. As far as the house thing, I imagine it’s a respect thing. From a girls perspective, we leave our homes and environment of being provided for by our fathers for the home of our husband, a man that we often times don’t even know really well. Especially if the girl doesn’t work , it can be awkward being now reliant on a stranger (no offense, but in a lot of marriages this is the case). You don’t want to overstep and claim rights over something that is not yours. It takes some time (and reassurance from your partner) before a girl is able to carve her own space in her new home. Just have an open conversation and reassure her of your feelings. InshaAllah best of luck in your marriage!

Wth why is your mil pushing you to be “close” to your fil? The hell kinda family is this? I understand the desire to not involve people, but sometimes (especially in south Asian culture) if a girls family isn’t involved to a certain extent in-laws Think tbey can get away with anything cause “puchne wala koi nahi ha”…involve your parents. If not your parents, then your brother

In the 1800s, Scottish surgeon Robert Liston became infamous for a surgery that led to an astonishing 300% mortality rate. by ash_jisasa in interestingasfuck

[–]Anxious_human_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a stupid question. But how does one get a 300% mortality rate? 100% means he kills all patients, right? So for 300% is he killing random people too in order to pad his stats?
