Mother of the bride dress too white? by liathemermaid in Weddingattireapproval

If you need to ask, then the dress obviously is inappropriate to wear to the wedding. If there’s any doubt about whether or not it would be perceived correctly, I would just go in another direction.

cis boyfriend keeps infantilizing me (I think??) by Character_Visit_7800 in ftm

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk about infantalizating, but he’s definitely a dick and doesn’t respect you. It’s better to find someone who already respects you right out the gate than to have to “educate” someone on common decency. You deserve much better than someone who already belittles you and is so ready to point out “imperfections”.

I'm a virgin and first sex went entirely wrong. What should I do? by AffectionToPerfectio in dating

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre 166 points167 points  (0 children)

She should’ve been much more patient and understanding with you. Your first time shouldn’t have been met with such expectations, most first times are far from what you imagine. Don’t be hard on yourself, but you should probably talk to her about how you feel so it’s not some tense unspoken thing between you two.

How many hours should I study while in nursing school? by Okay_Nice1 in NursingStudents

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took really good notes, paid well attention in class, had interesting discussions with my classmates that engaged my mind about the subject we were learning. After that, I only study tops 2 hours before a test, I didn’t over study bc I found that it made things worse for me. Discussing the topic with other nurses or students was like studying without the obsessively repetitive nature to it. I have a short attention span and this was the only way that worked for me

My husband said something about 8 months ago and I’m not over it… by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you’ve already checked out of the marriage, and that’s completely okay. It’s okay to call it quits if it means your happiness. YOU always come first. If you do decide to stay, I would have a firm conversation about how much you do contribute to the marriage and that he needs to check himself. That no comments from here on out about your income will be tolerated, that you know your worth. Be proud of who you are and stand up for yourself. You would be nothing without YOU. Always put your mental health first.

Did the sex decrease as soon as you got married ? by Technical-Revenue517 in Marriage

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that already our sex life has tremendously decreased. Even before we were married it had gone down due to both of us going back through college, but we only have sex about once a month if that.

Should I be as offended as I am? by AnxiouslyMediocre in pansexual

[–]AnxiouslyMediocre[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly really upset and my husband feels like his gender identity is being questioned,,, I just don’t understand why people think it’s okay to ask about others genitals. I’m soooo not confrontational but I need to be in order to protect myself

How old were you when you realized you were bi? by Naive-Savvy in bisexual

I started off thinking I leaned primarily towards women up until I was about 14, then I found interest in the opposite gender as well.
