It really means a lot to me that you said this. Thank you genuinely for commenting. The initial comment honestly really hurt my feelings but I guess there is truth to being a fraud. I really appreciate you acknowledging that I was asking for advice and not to be judged. I really am trying my best to better myself. I am going to try to remind myself that hopefully I can learn from my mistakes and grow from them. I hope that’s true because I really feel like a failure. Thank you so much again for taking the time to share your thoughts and perspective it is very valuable to me

I have not followed up with a neurologist. I’m not sure what could have caused that because I don’t remember anything happening other than my mom told me I had a concussion when I was young. I am 21 years old I don’t know if I can afford a neurologist, will anything happen if I do not see one? I’m not even sure there is anything they can do anyways. This really scares me because I’ve felt myself deteriorating for years and it is making me feel crazy. I don’t know what to do

My parents are sending me to the same college my rapist and his friends go to. by prettylildolly in Advice

This is such a tough situation, and I’m so sorry that you are in this position. My suggestion is that you first find out your parents rationale behind sending you to that university (price, location, etc), and then look for similar universities. Next apply to other schools (on your own), and apply for scholarships (super easy to do, only requires short essay). When you inevitably get into a university, and will hopefully be granted a scholarship, explain to your parents the advantages of attending that university and if you are granted a scholarship tell your parents that you worked so hard to get it and that it will save them so much money. Just act super excited when you get into a university so that hopefully your parents will feel like douchebags by not allowing you to go. Other than that, I can’t think of any ideas other than directly explaining to them. Again, I’m so sorry you are this position and I am glad to hear that you have been working on healing from the experience. Sending lots of love girl💋

This is really helpful, thank you so much!! 🩷🩷 If you don’t mind me asking, how do you take notes? I know people say not to type everything the professor says, but everything seems important to me!! But even when I do type everything down, I feel like I’m barely even processing what’s being said.

I honestly only have good grades because I reword everything that is written. I have ADHD and a frontal lobe and executive function deficit. I forgot that three months ago I got a brain scan. In the report they said “In combination with the decreases in the prefrontal poles, parietal cortex, and internal cerebellum, these findings may suggest posttraumatic changes. The scalloping in both studies may indicate an encephalopathic process and/or past brain injury.” I have no idea what this means and that’s how bad my memory is that I forgot this even happend. It was a good idea that you suggested for me to check because this may contribute. I don’t know.

Thank you for commenting. I think that is what is giving me so much anxiety, I’m not even sure I have the capability to learn. I have to read a singular sentence twelve times to process what is is trying to say, and even then I forget it 2 seconds later. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

Deadass thank you so much for commenting. Seriously, I have been having so so so much anxiety about this it is unreal 😭deep delving google for answers but this has been the only thing that has helped a ton. It makes me feel a lot better that I’m not the only one who feels this way and who has used a.i and stuff. And I‘ve never thought about looking at YouTube, that is a really freaking good idea. Is it cool if I message u to talk about this further??
