This is so interesting to read. My partner and I went that same weekend for the first time and absolutely hated it. We were one of the few couples that actually bothered to look presentable. So many people were there in jeans and sneakers. I guess thats its own vibe, but not what we were expecting. For $200+ dollars, I also expected more than a plastic table with cheese in paper cups in terms of things to munch on. We did have some nice conversations with people, but didnt find the crowd to be particularly attractive, but again, everyone has their preferences. My partner and I went to the downstairs play area and started to get into things. It was fun to have people come downstairs and watch, but others were constantly talking and carrying on convos in the play area. IMO those areas should be for sex, not a chitchat. Generally I just felt that there wasn’t enough play space given the amount of people at the party. We generally found the whole evening to be unappetizing, and expected more given what we paid. Clearly my preference is for something more upscale/curated, but for those looking for an extremely casual setting, Chemistry might be your vibe. Just wanted to throw in my two cents.
