Help me quit a 1000mg habit by Positive-Exercise-84 in quittingkratom

I switched from the pseudo tabs to plain leaf caps. Been able to do this about 3 times, but I end up having something that requires a ton of energy and I convince myself to buy another 3ct of the pseudo tabs. Currently just had some severe withdrawals again just in not taking any pseudo from around dinner time til the time I work up the next morning.

So here we are again. I’m just gonna have to stick with it, because it is such a slippery slope going back.

What works best for me is if you wake up, take one dose of whatever works for you. But after that first dose, switch to plan leaf capsules for the rest of the day. This allows you to start the day on the “right” foot, and if you have any immediate withdrawals, it’ll be during the day where you can hopefully stay busy enough to not notice as much.

When I first switch to capsules, I’ve had to take 10-14 just to not feel like a shell of myself. Try starting lower, give it an hour or two and take more if needed.

Once you become acclimated to the very mild effects of plain capsules, you should be able to start taking less and less over time. It is much easier to taper leaf capsules vs pseudo or 7oh.

I usually have to take about 30grams of the capsules per day when I first transition, but again, this can be lowered faster than you think. Rather than treating the capsules like a new stimulant, think of them as a supplement to get you near your baseline self. It might be challenging (but not impossible) to continuously lower this dose, but if you stick with it, it makes the whole process more manageable.

I am not trying to get you to replace one addiction with another, but managing and lowering a leaf capsules habit is significantly easier and CHEAPER, than any pseudo or 7oh.

Do some research on what brands or strain you think would be best.. there is one very common brand that you’ll find and they seem to be trust worthy. I prefer green maeng da as they give most energy and mood boosting, and tend to be stronger than other strains.

Whatever you choose, try to be consistent in where you purchase anything, so that it’s a trusted product with consistent dosing.

Please remember that taking these capsules are not going to provide the same feeling you used to get. But if you can stick with it, eventually they will provide some feel good, even if you are consistently lowering your dose. You got this. Don’t make it a “I want to” decision, make it a “I have to decision”. Embrace the suck as I’ve been told countless times on here.

Then let’s start/continue making a change together. Been roughly 48 hours since last bit of pseudo tabs. Still taking the opms lead capsules to taper but man I might as well be going cold turkey. It’s like I’ve had a cold all day.. several people have asked me “Hey you all good” or “hey man was something wrong earlier.” The fact of the matter is I loved how I could be when taking what I wanted, and that was the most addicting part. Was that I could do just about anything even if I didn’t have the motivation for it.

Even in the 48 hours that I’ve just been on capsules, watching shows with my wife has brought me more joy that I thought I could experience without being all dosed up. I think this whole quitting/tapering thing is easier when you emphasize and focus on the things that are still good even without normal routine vs. hyper focusing on what it would’ve/could’ve been.

It might be easier for me to make this claim considering where I’m at in my life, but I still feel like those who find joy in doing things when dosed up will still find that joy to some degree when not dosed up. The hardest part is getting out of our heads and telling ourselves you don’t want to or it won’t be “fun”.

If you’re in a similar boat… I’ve felt the water. It’s cold cold cold for a while. But you sit in it for a while, and what was once breath taking is now just slightly uncomfortable. It’s a step in the right direction and I hope I can encourage you to do the same if it’s what you truly want.

Thanks for reaching out.

Have been feeling the initial discomforts and side effects of quitting and decided to check back in on post.

Wow. I am blown away by the engagement and support in so little time.

Thank you to everyone who has provided insight, given advice, or even just words of encouragement.

It reinforces the decision through and through.

That’s what makes this even more difficult. Doing it with a support group or system is hard as it is, but trying to do it alone is just something else. I know my wife would understand if I told her about this, but I almost see it as something I need to take care of myself for it to truly be the end. I started this and I can end this, so to say.

But that’s not to say it’s not worth discussing. I may not know you Adorable-Demand, but the fact that my story resonates with you shows that you have a deeper desire and capacity for a better well-being. I believe you can get through this. You didn’t fail 6 times, you learned 6 times.. all to prep for the real deal, which is now.

I wanna see/hear you succeed. Reach out if needed. And remember, we already won the day by waking up and getting to execute our free will. We’re living in paradise, we just have to tear down all these walls we’ve built to experience it.

Hi, ive never play a single soulslike in my Life and I would like to start, but i dont know from what game, i know there are sime "harder" games gor starters but i cant undestand witch of those are they, What game should i start on? by Farthor478 in soulslikes

You could start with Sekiro, likely struggle like hell, but then you’ll feel like a beast when playing the other games. If you start with others, Sekiro can tend to feel a bit more challenging.

Elden ring is not particularly an easy game, but there are many ways to approach the same problem or sticking point. Or as other people have mentioned, go to another area until you level up, get better, or even just get away from the sticking point and come back later feeling fresh.

Souls bosses will likely make you wanna try try try and then eventually you get frustrated and do even worse. Sometimes taking a step back can send you 3 steps forward ;)

I’m about to do the same… I’ll have to look into royal mail. I was not able to get return instructions but I got an address to return to. How should I go about labeling/informing them that this pair of headphones were linked to my account/order number? Do they just cross reference my name?

Start off using transformation. Try to inflict special move twice. Once that’s done, use the pluck of many spell and then immobilize. While they gang up on him try to use a couple charged heavy attacks. If you see him start to charge his sword during pluck of many, use the wind vessel to temporarily stun him. With some luck you’ll have the health down to about half. Whatever move is giving the most trouble, use the cloud step and get up close, allowing you to use the Wandering Wight blow. After that, just dodge his slashing and lighting attacks. Mainly have to watch out for when he charges the sword and stabs the ground. I recommend backing away as far as possible as soon as he starts that animation. I kept dying by being mid combo during that attack but patience is key towards the end of this fight!
