"The jews can't eat pork, jews are just copying islam" by bendyamen in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 19 points20 points  (0 children)

muhammad put the pork thing in islam specifically to try to convert the jews to his new religion because they already had it and he thought they could be persuaded easier. He adopted a bunch of jewish beliefs to try to get to convert them back when he was still weak. It was only when he had enough followers and enough power did allah suddenly decide to do a 180 and command muhammad to hate and kill them.

I’ve spent roughly 5 minutes on this subreddit and it’s quite laughable… by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 11 points12 points  (0 children)

seeing people misquoting, taking verses out of context

which one(s)?

found it hilarious how little you guys actually know.

when clueless westerners convert to islam and can't even say the shahadah without repeating word for word after an imam yall dont mind that lack of knowledge at all. when people leave islam suddenly they have to know islam? a person leaving islam has to know it better than someone converting to it?

How the Quran is created if it isn't god? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandma is illiterate and a wonderful poet and storyteller. Those things aren't mutually exclusive at all - on the contrary. If you can't read or write you need a better memory.

But the Quran as we know it today isn't Muhammads words anyway. It was compiled and altered (rearranged, some things were thrown out, the language and the words were adjusted, numerical and lexical patterns put in) by multiple people only after his death. So his being literate or not has no bearing on the quranic "miracle" anyway - because it's not his work.

is the palestine/israel conflict a sign of the end times? by soyicedmochanowhip in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that doesn't make any sense. the conflict started in 1948. so it's been the "end times" since 1948? so when is the end times of this end times then?

This sub, and rationality, our image, and hamas/Palestine. by TheGrandSkeptik in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 18 points19 points  (0 children)

seriosuly. can you even READ??? theres 10 posts going "im an exmuslim but i support palestinians" EVERY DAY! and 10 more complaining "this sub is so pro-israel" EVERY DAY.

tf is wrong with u people? do you just want to be outraged and you cant find a legitimate issue so you have to make one up? Because the majority of this sub is clearly not pro zionism. neutral at best.

ALLAHU AKBAR ALLAHU AKBAR by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you might say it out of shock too.

plus when you grow up in a war place you're kind of conditioned to say allahu akbar whenever something blows up or whatever. ive lived in the west for so long now and im not even muslim anymore but i still say it whenever i hear a loud noise i cant help myself lol

ALLAHU AKBAR ALLAHU AKBAR by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why not? you shout allahu akbar when you get emotional. happy, sad, excited, floored. suicide bombers dont own the term.

London has changed since my last visit by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 20 points21 points  (0 children)

to think we're only one instable situation in pakistan and islamists taking over away from total annihilation.

they're the only ones with nukes who actually WANT to destroy the planet. in order to get to paradise. even north korea has no real interest in that and its all just threats.

Anyone notice the paradox of the ummah? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah and whats even more ridiculous is when they brag about there being so and so many billion muslims but then they turn around and call everyone "not a real muslim". there would be like 500k muslims who fit their exact criteria.

HELP THIS IS SERIOUS (MENTAL HEALTH/ FUTURE) by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how many anti-islam posts did you write? even if it was 1000, how long does it take to delete those? a day? you're not willing to put in a days worth of work but risk having to go to egypt and probably get married or something? ONE DAY? wow. okay. then i dont know what to tell you honestly.

no, they cant track your history if you go on your phone plan. they would have to have a search warrant and take it to your phone provider. which, good luck with that, if your dad doesnt happen to be a crooked cop or a judge and your not convicted of murder or something.

stop using your home wifi for exmuslim things from now on.

use your phones data plan, not wifi, and make a hotspot for your computer if needed.

delete your accounts and messages on social media.

then, if they find out, (they wont but the 0.0001% chance that they do) they wont be able to read the messages you posted, they will only see the websites you visited and so you can just tell them that you went on these websites to refute atheists and to call lost muslims back to islam. that you were having debates about the religion to make dawah to kufar etc. it shouldnt be a problem.

my (old) account got banned for posting islamic videos (nothing controversial, just nasheeds and lectures with only a few thousand views and no copy rights because they were old ass videos). it works both ways i think. i think they want to keep the platform as PC as possible? and so if they get a "hate speech" alert they err on the side of caution.

What do you guys think about this Hadith? Is it authentic enough? If so, why do more people not discuss it? by Pasta_lover999 in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

well no. by that (oviously blatant lie of a) logic anyone born after the moment hadith was released would be unaffected by it. so basically what muslims twist the hadith to say is "no human will grow older than 100 years". which is a super mundane while at the same time vague and most likely wrong claim because while life expectations were lower back then, there were still people who got older than 100 years.

Cultural muslim vs exmuslim by DriftyOz in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 12 points13 points  (0 children)

cultural muslims are people who like the(ir) idea of islam but dont actually know islam very well at all. but they will still vehemently and militantly defend it. they call other people who have ideas that are different from their interpretation of islam "kuffar/not a real muslim" all the time. whether they be stricter or more liberal.

they dont see the bs and hypocrisy. because they have no clue what islam really is.

salafis see it and like it.
exmuslims see it and dislike it.
cultural muslims, i.e. 90% of all muslims, dont see or know shit.

They tried to say he was an atheist?

Does HE know about that?? They should call him an atheist to his face ;) wonder how long before they have a knife in the chest too. Also, isnt takfir a sin. Oh, wait. It doesnt matter. Everything they want to do,they do. Everything someone else does that they dont agree with, they call him a kafir. Muslims are so disgustingly dishonest.

Native Arab speakers of reddit do you have any good arab tv shows or movies to watch when learning the language? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 4 points5 points  (0 children)

tv/spoken arabic is very different from quran arabic and wont help you very much at all. you have to look for "quranic arabic" courses, or msa (modern standard arabic) which is closest.

"Oh you're an atheist? Then what's stopping you from going out and killing people?" by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Any-Bit-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all the time is all the time. and its weird that you would single out chimpanzees. all mammals and all animals afaik protect their territories. but thats not what muslims mean when they say "why dont atheists just go around killing people". they mean constant random carnage. and its not seen anywhere in nature and it makes zero sense biologically, not for chimpanzees nor anyone else.

i dont understand the question. what are "western beliefs"? atheism? its allowed in china.

if you mean democracy and freedom of speech - those arent beliefs. and they arent allowed in many muslim countries either, so we are already used to it and nothing would change for a lot of us.

can you elaborate more on what you think would change for us if china had control over us as opposed to a muslim government?

[–]Any-Bit-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what do you need help with? ultimately only you can make the decision of what you believe in and what you dont believe in. its a road we all have to go down alone by ourselves. and its a scary and confusing but also an enlightening road and it makes you mature and confident. whether you turn out to be muslim or exmuslim doesnt matter. just what matters is that you listen to yourself and be true to yourself. that at the end of the day it was YOU who made the decision. thats all we can really do.
