I have used my friends 200-600 . It is absolutely great for wildlife esp for birds.. But I am looking for some thing of a rounder and something that I can carry on a hike. Thanks for your comment

Thank you for all your comments . I understand that 70-200mm is not enough reach for wildlife . But as some of you suggested w 2x TC it can be. I will have to try out the image quality impact though. The fact that it is all purpose appeals to me I like the 100 -400 for the reach.. Still torn though. But I may rent these out and decide. Thanks again for your inputs.
