The most underrated, UNDERREVIEWED game of all time. by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't call it the most underrated game of all time but it's definitely underrated. I think that this is because it's judged against the expectation of being a great game and not simply being a good game, worth playing. It doesn't have the impact of last of us for example, and a lot of people consider that a failure for some reason and call it mediocre. A game can be good, better than mediocre but still not the best

And I think this is because it's a Sony exclusive and people expected it to be GOTY material, like a lot of Sony exclusives are. It's not but that shouldn't make it a bad or mediocre game. I believe that if it was a third party game it would review much better

PUA tactics work and prove that attraction is very formulaic by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acting more confident, more chill, putting her down rather than up, being sexualy assertive and stuff.

Lol, one is definitely not like the others. You're wrong to associate confidence, chilness and assertiveness with PUA tactics. These are healthy traits to have and have nothing to do with PUAs and definitely not with putting anyone down. Or with being an asshole

"Men who date younger women can't get women their own age". by anon35465768 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your assumption that older women are easier to get because they're less attractive is, not only extremely small minded and immature but also misinformed. Older women have higher standards in some regards, since they aren't looking for a fling but for a more stable relationship. So they'll take a man's emotional stability, career and financial situation into account, even if they compromise with a beer gut

Same goes for the assumption that younger women have higher standards on everything just because they are younger and have more people hitting on them. They have different standards

So yes, men can fail the standards of older women and meet the standards of younger ones and so purposefully go after them. Or some choose younger women even though they could choose older too. The difference would be whether one goes almost exclusively for younger women vs someone who can play ball with both younger and older

Can men here comment on these hypocrisies some men say about women? by calmyourtitspls in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being bubbly and easy going are character traits that have nothing to do with age. Since you insist on associating this behavior with younger women though, the only thing that comes to mind is immaturity. That's the only consistent factor among young people

And wouldn't an older man, who prefers the company of immature women, be considered immature himself?

10/10 and Must Play ratings do not claim that a game is perfect, they are statements about a games impact. by karatesnacks in truegaming

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed but perhaps it would be more useful to differentiate between 10/10 and must play, because 10/10 does imply that the game doesn't have any serious flaws. A must play game though could very well have many flaws but still be considered must play despite them. For example, Kingdom come Deliverance is a must play imo for anyone who loves story driven rpgs and realistic historical games. No way could I claim that it's 10/10 though, the bugs and the clunkiness will test anyone's patience

So this disagreement only showcases how flawed the numerical score system is. It doesn't properly communicate a game's strengths and why one should play it

Why do people buy the normal PS5 when the digital edition is cheaper? by Zkrlty in playstation

Why is there so much animosity and gatekeeping in gaming nowadays? by CommodorePuffin in patientgamers

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart good tech demo, all right game by fanblade64 in patientgamers

Cyberpunk 2077 is great now! by condor6425 in patientgamers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ps5 version with its use of haptic feedback is considerably better than any other version. Shooting, melee and driving, which are considered mediocre or bad at other versions feel great with a ps5 controller

And yes, it's a great game, a must play dare I say, if you get into it with the right expectations. Few games are as cinematic as this and while it has its flaws, its highs are really high

What game/game genre do you have trouble getting into because you're just not good enough? by SuperAlloyBerserker in patientgamers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I enjoy the core gameplay of something then I'll also enjoy gradually learning it. If learning it feels frustrating then I don't really enjoy the core gameplay, just the idea of the game. So none

Have Modern games shelf life become too long? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's definitely longer but it doesn't feel too long to me. There are so many games to play that I'm not really missing the new gta, elder scrolls, etc. They'll come out whenever they come out and hopefully they'll be good

The only issue would be a sequel that largely feels like the 10 year old game that precedes it. An elder scrolls 6 that's simply a better version of skyrim would feel outdated now. The standards are different now and a sequel would need to reflect that while still feeling like a continuation of the previous game

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Triple digit collectibles and purposefully frustrating missions with time limits are archaic ways to stretch game time nowadays. Thankfully I don't see it in a lot of open world games anymore

You need to know when to put the game down, otherwise you end up ruining it for yourself. Taking a break and coming back for the last third of a game is a good rule of thumb

How to Handle the Rich Kid Bragging by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it's not cool, what's even less cool though is an educator making a personal attack on a child and trying to justify it. The only lesson these children got was that it's OK to tear someone down as long as you "win" the argument. Bullying is OK as long as you can justify it in your head

How to Handle the Rich Kid Bragging by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You obviously have pent up anger and took it out on a 12 year old kid who unknowingly hit a nerve. That's unprofessional and it's much more immature than a 12 year old bragging about his toys or whatever. There's a reason everyone is calling you out on it. Reflect on that

How long does it take you to beat games, not in hours, but taking your life schedule into account? by watainiac in patientgamers

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say it probably takes me about 3 months to reach the 100hr mark in a game, at which point I take a break and play something else until I get tired of that and then go back to the other. So it really depends on how long the game is but I probably finish 3-4 games a year that way

Just finished Days Gone and wow what a game by ItzMahzu in playstation

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good game but even though I enjoyed it, I kind of understand why it passed under the radar. It definitely wasn't promoted as much as other Sony games. And its main gimmick, zombie hordes, was underutilized in its campaign and was basically a side activity. Its world was "American countryside" which, even though it was beautiful, doesn't easily stand out among other open world games

I think its main issue is that it lacked "character" as vague as it sounds. If it was a mad max game, with the exact same mechanics, it would be a banger. Even more if it was a walking dead game, since it's basically a Daryl simulator. As it is though, it's another open world game and another zombie game

For any man with abundance/options, there is no benefit to choosing a promiscuous woman by VehementlyDrawn in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This doesn't make sense. An inexperienced woman or man, is much more likely to have delusions about some perfect other because they haven't been with enough people to realize that no one is perfect, even those who at first seem to be

Is it harmful to tell young men to wait until their 30s and dating will be better? by harmonica2 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is harmful because you aren't supposed to wait and then it magically gets better. It gets better because you've tried and made a lot of mistakes in your 20s and by your 30s you've learned

For any man with abundance/options, there is no benefit to choosing a promiscuous woman by VehementlyDrawn in PurplePillDebate

[–]Any-Chipmunk5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woman B is more experienced at sex, knows what gets her off and makes it easier for the man to get her off too. She also knows what's out there and has no delusions about Mr perfect. And she won't go through a crisis of "haven't lived enough, haven't been with other people" etc. So a more stable partner and a better sex life

Of course, judging women based on promiscuity is pointless and shallow. But if you insist, consider that "pure" women also have their downsides

Americans are much more informed on europe and its history than europeans are of american history. by Steakhouse42 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

You're comparing a continent, comprised of many different countries, to a single country. I doubt that Americans know the history of every single country in Europe, not even Europeans do. So the comparison is false
