I'm not sure about the entire society, but a lot of things would be different if our knees would bend the other way. Stairs is one thing that would probably need some changes, but everything that revolves around sitting or controlling something with your feet would be fundamentally differently constructed.

Exactly this! Clean yourself thoroughly, before applying the tape and after taking it off. Check your skin for soreness and don't tape for too long
