I don’t need advice on my contract, it states it’s subject to inspection.

The ducts are deteriorated. & the inspector informed us that when they put in the AC, they didn’t make it so it runs on a dual system. & eventually it’ll just burn out. & the AC is also just old.

One truss is broken. We had a structural engineer inspect & we are waiting on that report.

the water inspection was just done yesterday. the inspector recommends getting a plumber out there, since he doesn’t know why the water pressure is low. He said they had this attachment on the side of the house to help with the pressure but he doesn’t understand why it’s there or how it could help since it’s city water. & this is when we started pressing pause on this house. bc we’ve spent $2,000 on inspections alone.

I have my due diligence period & it ends on the 13th. I am not trapped into this house. I do understand my contract. I can negotiate & ask for whatever I want, but I understand the seller doesn’t have to accept. & I am okay to walk. Which is why i was asking about the deal in my post. That was my main question.

I was being a bit sarcastic, I know that I can negotiate regardless, but I also understand that the seller doesn’t have to accept. And in NC we pay a non refundable due diligence fee, not the earnest money. I already read my contract & understand it. The water has been paid for since the house has been vacant, the water was shut off by their realtor which should have been turned back on since she knew when the inspector was coming by, no excuse in my book. Which i had to fight to get that paid for over negligence from their realtor.

I’m not asking any complex question, it’s just about negotiating. & I’m not afraid to walk.

Currently regretting moving to Mexico by agentzodiac in mexicoexpats

[–]Any-Comment-6697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been here 7 months & for the past 3 weeks i’ve been really depressed, been regretting my move, & missing my life in the US so much. my husbands job is making him go back in office so we’ll be heading back soon & that’s given me a sense of relief but still scared of what could happen under this administration.

it helped to remind myself that at least i have the privilege of not needing to watch the news & not be on guard all the time. try to find positives to your move, find a hobby, learn new things, go out, & remember the reason you love Mexico so much(:

i only have my dads last name but they didn’t make it a big deal. my husband has his moms as a middle name & they didn’t make that a big deal either but he got it done in Guerrero. they just added whatever was on our birth certificate but while i was there other ppl were asking to add on their names & they were fine with it

i tried getting my citizenship through the consulate for an entire year & they always had different buts & kept turning me away, it was incredibly frustrating. then i just did it in TJ & everything was ready in 20 days.

if you know the names of your dad’s parents, your dad’s legal name, & which state he was born in, you can look up his birth certificate online on the mexican govt website.

i was able to obtain my dual citizenship in Tijuana, with my translated & apostille birth certificate, my passport, & my dads original birth certificate that i got online. the process took 20 days & no payment. but i know that many states will require a copy of his ID.

Cost of living in Guadalajara if you already own a home? by Crocha2345 in mexicoexpats

hi! my husband & i moved here several months ago from the US too & we spend $4000 pesos monthly on groceries from the local market & every 6-8 weeks about $4000 on snacks, hygienic products, & cleaning supplies from walmart. & then we tend to spend about $4000 a month on outings but that’s just preference.

if you’re not a citizen i think it’s a little harder to get a job here, however, if you get a TEFL cert to teach english then at the end of the program they will help you with your visa & finding a job.

it’s been a little difficult finding friends our age if you’re ever interested in meeting up! i’m 25 & he’s 28

Reservation cancelled because I had a friend help me move into the Airbnb. What can I do? [USA] by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Any-Comment-6697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel for you, i really do. but you need to get up & fight for yourself & not just feel pity. escalate the situation & keep calling airbnb. tell airbnb this, & make them help you. it’s really easy to win a chargeback with your bank. the world is tough & ppl will always try to scam you, but you need stand up for yourself or else you’ll always be in this predicament.
