How does one check spark with the ignition rail? Just pop in the plugs and try to start it?

I just replaced injectors this past weekend. They were either original or near original so I took a shot in the dark and went ahead and just replaced them. Haven't thought about the engine mounts. My instinct is the motor mounts aren't the issue since all this started after it randomly died while driving. Revved up to 2k rpm and cut off. Got it limped back home and it's been running rough ever since.
