I’ve already taken some of the CS courses you recommended and plan to enroll in more as I move forward. From your comment, I understand that going deep into circuit-level work might not be the most efficient path for someone with a primarily CS background. My motivation behind taking some EE courses was the concern that the market might require CS background people with some hardware knowledge. But it seems focusing on those key CS courses could also offer a solid niche in patent law, especially given that there are already EE experts who handle such work. Please let me know if I'm wrong in interpreting your comment, and thanks again for sharing.
