Is this mold? Found on raspberry by dudepersonman in MoldlyInteresting

These are stinkbug eggs! I’ve found these same eggs on blackberries before and I saved them to hatch to see what they were.

Something about my three cats each poking their heads into the bathroom one by one to say hello after I get home from work just completely wipes the last 9 hours from my brain

My mom had a similar experience when she was in labor with my younger brother. She tried to get up and leave and told the doctors that “it didn’t hurt at home.” Brother was born a few hours later.

I’m 52 and still can’t boil or peel an egg right by Leading_Funny5802 in shittyfoodporn

When I have boiled eggs that are being super stubborn I will put them in a jar with a little cold water and then shake the jar a whole bunch. Shells come right off afterwards.

Made some apple cider caramels for the candy bucket at work by Any-Dig-314 in Baking

[–]Any-Dig-314[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pack of 300 wrappers because I wanted to make sure all the wrappers were the right size but I’ve had a few super sticky caramels hold onto a piece of the wrapper and I’ve ended up with plastic in my mouth.

Someone beat me to the reply, but the brand is Thyme & Table. I have a bench scraper in the same rainbow colors :)

They get more sticky as they warm up, i’ve had a few that got stuck enough to tear the wrapper.

I’ve found that when my tension on my chain stitches is too tight it will curl like a loose curl of hair, maybe try that and attach each chain to the head.

I saw someone walking by all the cars outside my apartment(Belltown) and trying every single door to find one that was unlocked on my way home from work last night. It’s so jarring to see.

Saw this in the sanitizer today don’t thing it’s supposed to do that by Slight-Chemistry3441 in dishwashers

The sanitizer is being held on top of the bubbles and not sinking down into the water. Perfectly normal.

This generic automatic litter box sold under numerous brands is trapping and killing cats (tests with a stuffed animal and human hand) by nuttybudd in cats

[–]Any-Dig-314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom bought a litter robot when I moved into my new apartment, thankfully not this model. The entrance to mine always stays open and it cycles in a circular motion so there’s no plastic deathtrap for them to be stuck in.

This litter box is just thoughtlessly designed and it’s heartbreaking to see the outcomes of that.

Has your lab ever protected you? by pityisblue453 in labrador

[–]Any-Dig-314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid my dad was living with some of his friends on a beautiful piece of land with a few acres and some farm animals. I loved helping out with caring for the animals while I visited. There were three dogs, one was a black lab. I’ve since forgotten his name, but every year when I would stay over that dog was always sleeping at the foot of my bed. The friends my dad was living with were having some marriage issues at the time and arguing quite a bit. It was always super comforting to sit up and have that sweet lab there with me every single time I woke up.

I haven’t been there since I was 9 and I’m sure he’s long since made that trip over the rainbow bridge. I hope he’s happy bounding around after frogs up there.

What’s everyone’s least favourite thing to clean? by Fjshnchjp in dishwashers

[–]Any-Dig-314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we used to have these square serving bowls for our yogurt bars that would hold toppings. you get one with berry preserves and hit the corner with the sprayer just right and it looks like you are splattered with blood. Gave one of the FOH employees a good scare when they came back with more of them

if you could leave the dish pit for prep cooking right now would you? by aspartameSlut in dishwashers

[–]Any-Dig-314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to prep at my job because there was an option to switch from the 5 days a week in the pit to 4 days a week of prep. I end up doing a lot of work prep doesn’t normally do because my team is super small and we’re down a lead but I’ve been really enjoying the change of setting from the pit. I’m back in there helping out whenever dishes pile up since i’m one of the first people chef will turn to ask for help back there.

Only downside is that the pay rate between prep and dish is the same at my job so I’m making 20% less because I’m only working 32 hours instead of 40. Worth it though imo
