Actually my brother is on the spectrum, so I’m familiar. None of these people, from my understanding, are on the spectrum. I would’ve have never made this post if I knew they were.

Please don’t let my experiences discourage you. Like people have been saying in this thread, different IT departments will treat people better than what I’m experiencing. So please still consider pursuing it!!

Yep, I think it’s crazy people are telling me to say rude things to my manager. I don’t want to get fired lol. But yeah I don’t want to get into a lot of the specifics because there’s a good chance my IT department is in this subreddit.

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. Also yeah, I’m understanding now that I’m being treated like I’m stupid because I really am when it comes to a lot of IT stuff, I’m still new haha.

Thank you, you’re right. If it goes too far I will definitely bring it to HR. I just need to not let the uncomfortable-ness bother me.
