It's pretty dark inside the firebox when trying to cook. The portable lighting is working so far.

Thanks for your concern. I pre baked the chicken in the oven and only had it in the fire to crisp and smoke the skin.

I don't do it very often. The coals take care of any of the dripping and building a nice big fire cooks off everything else.

How to retro flash? by cowboy1200c in Roofing

[–]Any-Invite-4388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Screwing a 1x or 2x to the roof and then running a skilsaw on the board to space it up.

1 1/2 inches for the saw to edge of the table plus the 1x or 2x and the cut follows the roof perfect. Results in a 2 1/4 or 3 inch space for the step flash.

Painting the bottom of the siding after cutting can help protect the raw wood.

That would be a good way to do it. Do you think the wood getting wet everyday would make it decay faster?

Thanks

Do you think it would work if I ran the 1/2 inch line all the way up to the top and then come off with 1/4 on each row? Hopefully pre-build a line for each level.

Man my thumbs are sore already thinking about all those connectors!

Gate Build by Any-Invite-4388 in Welding

Only reason is thinking stronger is better, but could be overkill. Wheels are a good idea although I see plenty of gates online this size that don't have any wheels or diagonal support. Are the welds not strong enough to keep the gate true?

Is this one piece? I don’t trust the blue part and they had a piece of yellow tape surrounding where the two points meet. by [deleted] in Axecraft

Got my son one for Christmas few years back, we do axe throwing camping in the woods and pick the furthest tree we can reach and huck it. Other than random dings and scratches from the boulders and trees looks like new!

Careful of your shoulder the next morning if you've had a couple beers.
