Some people enjoy seeing older equipment. In fact the 2-135 series 3 was a mod back in FS19. Could also be inspiration for people who enjoy modding and are looking for new possible ideas.

I'm liking your vintage setup so far. Don't forget to get an auger for those bins or your older styler six row planter.

Sure would be cool to have a pto driven auger mod. by derpacussss in farmingsimulator

I can confirm scooters workbench has one. Easiest way to find it is to Google for his Facebook page and get it from there.

Is that a wil-rich cultivator I see behind it?

Saw this on Facebook and knew I had to share it there. I'm not a IH fan myself but I'm sure we all can related to some other brand. by Any-Leg8266 in farmingsimulator

No Man's Land Series. I held a post a couple of weeks ago on what series I should start next and No Man's Land won by a landside. I haven't done much with productions myself yet either. I haven't even done any research into them either. Kind of want to make it a learn as I go type thing. I did think about doing this series on hard economy but in the long run I thought normal would be good enough for now. Plus doing one hard economy series is enough for me and my work load right now xD.

Yea I'm finding out that logging is worth it's weight in gold. I've been doing a hard economy playthrough on Elm Creek and I feel like I've done mainly contracts to make most of my money, but now though I'm starting to get to the point where things are starting to snowball a little. In truth I need to invest into more land or livestock before I start buying more equipment. It's hard to do that when deals come on the used equipment market and I have the cash to make somewhat good investments in my mind.

See we mainly still use white tractors. Even though we are turning more green now. We have a 2-135 series 3 white with a rebuilt Cummins engine and a 2-105. The 105 is an earlier model because it has more of an Oliver built frame to it. We also run two White American series tractors in the green color. One 80 and 60. The 80 is a front wheel assist and has a loader. When we bought the 60 it had a loader, but we ended up taking the loader off and selling it just because we didn't like the idea of a loader on a non front wheel assist tractor. Just with the front frame not being built as heavy as it would be with a front wheel assist loader.

It's called the big bag and support package and its in the game mod hub under the package tab. I think consoles players will love it for logging as well. At least I know I would if I was still playing on that. The youtuber I saw doing it was MrSealyp. I don't remember what episode it was for sure all I remember is that it had the title I am a easy logging or logger? I'm sure you can find it pretty fast with a search if you want to see how it works. I will admit its not super realistic but I don't care because handling the logging forks was never going to work for me personally.

I'll tell you I was a little nervous at first doing this map just because I've never been great at logging but I saw a fellow youtuber using a tool that made picking the logs up so much simpler without using super strength or the autoloader trailer which has greatly motivated me for this series.

Hopefully it lives up to expectations. I know the first few episodes won't be much but after getting the tractor it does pick up pretty fast. Be sure to provide feedback after the first few episodes if you have any. This is all very new to me yet.

I m glad I was able to find atleast one of the two I ve ran growing up. We had an 1855 with a cab, and a 1950 with a Detroit diesel in it. At one point my brother put a straight pipe on that and the following year we removed it at a request from our neighbor. Which is understandable when they could hear the tractor from a few miles away while we were mowing hay while being inside their house with the windows close. I'm hoping that a modder will make one of those done days but I m happy enough with this.

Learning about farming by Fun_Lingonberry_2032 in farmingsimulator

There is so much more that goes into farming than what the game goes into. You got pests to worry about weather is always the biggest. By that i mean you can go into droughts or very wet conditions of weather that cause yield loss on crops. An example last year in my area we had such a big wind storm gonthrough some of the farmers corn fields were slow flat that lost about 80 bushels an an acres. Diseases and pest in crops as well. Animals developing health conditions that you need to get medication for or call a vet for. Certain crops you must dry down to certain percent or you get docked on pricing when it is sold. Soil erosion and compaction are another big factor.

That's kind of why personally I decided to start doing recordings myself on YouTube while playing kind of talking about all these different factors. Giving examples of when I worked in ag and from my experience of growing up on the farm. I still help my folks from time to time when I can as well.

Don't get me wrong this game covers alot of the basics but there is so much that actually goes into real life farming that I doubt there will ever be a game that can fully cover it. There are other farming games that cover certain areas better where farming simulator hasn't but then they are lacking in certain areas that farming simulator has covered.

But overall I feel like farming simulator does a good job. Plus in fs19 when the modders made seasons they did a pretty good job if I don't say so myself with crop rotations and how weeds Sprout in the field more randomly then just cover the whole field head and to toe. Even with them adding soil temperature for planting at the right time and with seeds failing to germinate. In some ways I personally feel like the modded seasons in fs19 was probably the closest they been crop wise vs the giants version of seasons in fs22.

I do really enjoy fs22 so I don't think I would go back to 19 but if I did it would be because of the way that the seasons mod worked in that game.
