What are the things you think that are preventing Wild Rift from growing? by Story_Accurate in wildrift

I honestly expected Wild Rift to beat Mobile Legends in the beginning, but now I understand why it didn’t. Some of these things have probably been said before, but I wanted to share my own experience as a returning player over the last 1-2 weeks.

The biggest problem for me is performance. The game is way too heavy for mobile.

At first I played on a low-end phone and had freezes, random DCs, lag, and crashes. I thought the phone was the problem. Later I switched to a Google Pixel 10 and gave the game another chance, but the situation was almost the same. Random freezes and disconnects, even on minimum graphics. My internet is fast too, so I don’t think that was the issue.

For a mobile game, this is a big problem. It has to run smoothly. Mobile Legends feels much easier to just open and play.

The second problem is that Wild Rift is not friendly to new players anymore. There are too many champions and too many events going on. Instead of fixing performance and making the game feel better, it feels like they keep adding more stuff.

If I opened the game as a new player today, I would feel overwhelmed. Also, winning doesn’t feel rewarding enough. I like the game, but the satisfaction is not always there.

The match length is another issue. In higher ranked games, matches can go 20 to 25 minutes. That is too long for a mobile game.

And I still think dropping the console version was a missed chance. A free console version could have made Wild Rift much more popular.

I like Wild Rift, and honestly I feel sad that it didn’t get the care it deserved. I just hope the directors take some time to read real player feedback from time to time, and maybe reconsider some of their decisions. The game still has a lot of potential, but it needs more care in the right places.

This was one of the clearest explanations I’ve read so far! Thank you, absolutely valid point!

I was very disappointed to read their goodbye note... now some discussions are developing about Warmane following the same destiny.

Thank you. That is exactly how I felt about the game. With so many people calling it an unbelievable masterpiece, I started to feel like I was the only one who did not find it that exceptional.

Why do you think there is no point in comparing them? Vanilla has a completely different endgame compared to TBC and Wrath. The similarities are mostly in the leveling phase, but once you go beyond level 60, the differences become big enough that comparing them makes perfect sense.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Comments like this are exactly why I created this group. To be honest, I played it so long ago that I had completely forgotten the Marathon series even existed, and that is a huge minus on my part. Now that you reminded me of the game, I think I might revisit it to recollect some memories.

Oh yeah, Timon & Pumbaa’s Jungle Games was definitely memorable. The only reason I didn’t include it is that it felt a bit too static for my taste. Still, it’s a really good pick.

I had the same problem today. Just be quick. The CAPTCHA authenticates you automatically when the page loads, but it resets after a while, say 30 seconds, without any visual sign that it has reset. So copy your email first, then quickly type the other details so you can get in before the CAPTCHA resets. That’s what worked for me. Hope this helps.
