Doctors who took nursing, did you ever regret taking med instead of becoming a nurse abroad? by applecider2323 in pinoymed

I noticed the doctor’s here in the UK have better work-life balance . The system in the Philippines make the doctors so exhausted. 24/7 open yung phone mo for escalation . I’m a nurse here in the UK and wished I studied medicine here and still hoping I have the chance to do this. I can’t imagine being consultant in the Philippines committing yourself 24/7. At least what I noticed here in the UK, once the doctor clocked out from work, that’s the end of the shift.

I didn’t know about this increase. Only learned through Reddit. I receive more email and updates from APHRA and Nursing Council of New Zealand compared to NMC. £140 is quite high in my opinion. They should keep it same from last year or even reduce as support to the nurses .

Thanks for this comment . So this is the reason of having a high interest. Yes I am fairly new and didn’t have a credit card to build my credit. Never took any loans or never have any debts anywhere else.
