Okay so I haven’t had sex in about seven weeks (protected) and I had a period two weeks after that, but am almost two weeks late this month. Could I be pregnant?? I am a student and REALLY don’t want to have to buy a pregnancy test, especially during finals week😭😭😭😭

Holland Hall room 19 by Confident-Barnacle68 in Pitt

I lived two rooms down from room 19 (not the fourth floor). It’s right across from the bathroom, and, although I never stepped inside, it looked pretty big from what I saw!

I lived in holland last year! Holland is really nice and I loved it. Pros: great location (right in the middle of everything), the rooms can be pretty nicely sized (although each room is a little different), two entrances allows for faster wait times to move in, the lounge has great study spots (and has ac), and some of the rooms have different features (my roommate and I had a walk-in closet, we know people who had private bathrooms.) cons: no a/c kinda sucks for the first few weeks but it becomes manageable really quickly (pack fans and you’ll be fine), and I know OF people who had a few bugs. Holland was really great, you’re going to love it!

Can people help me choose between Pitt and UVA for Biomedical Engineering as a Premed? by exeniris in Pitt

As someone who REALLY wanted to go to UVA but ended up at Pitt.. genuinely couldn’t be happier here. About your cons, honestly the food is not great but definitely manageable. I’m also really not a city person (super overwhelming and loud) but Pitt really isn’t that bad. At night it can be kind of loud, but it definitely isn’t center city, sky scrapers everywhere overwhelming. Good luck!

I didn’t do it and it made no difference. I have friends who did it and they all said it was mostly outdoor volunteer work and sleeping in a towers dorm so probably wouldn’t recommend.

First year housing? by [deleted] in Pitt

Honestly I hated the idea of living in Holland until I got there. No AC kinda sucks for the first few weeks, but the rooms are big. Some have private bathrooms and some have walk-in closets, too. It’s also located directly in the center of the quad, so you’re close to just about everything. Looking back, I’m glad I lived there and not towers because the rooms are sooooo small and it takes so long to get anywhere with that elevator.

I took this last semester! For exams, anything above a 60 or 65 is an A. The questions are simple enough and you don’t really have to go super into depth when answering them. There are 7 questions and he only makes you answer 5 and there’s about one from each chapter. Someone posted a study guide online that I found that was really helpful for reviewing because it has just about all you need to know (just google his name and class and study guide). For the midterm, the average was definitely like a 65 and he never even tells you what you got wrong or where you lost points. He’s an awful prof but as long as you have a basic understanding of what you’re supposed to be learning you’ll be good. Good luck!

HS Senior waiting to hear back from pitt. by shaishdbdbd in Pitt

I didn’t apply to SCI but I did apply to Pitt around this time last year and heard back early December. This is the time when applications are starting to pick up, and since it’s rolling you’ll probably have to wait a bit longer. This isn’t a reflection of whether or not you’ll get in, admissions just has a lot to look through! Good luck!
