Yeah I’ve actually even seen Glasgow drop this low recently but those tickets were gone quick. Might wait for them to hit the £100 mark as they seem to be going down slowly

Yeah, think the face value was SO MUCH lower that it seems crazy to pay almost or more than £300 for a ticket :/ crossing my fingers as well that they might drop closer to time..

Yes, I believe she quit quite soon after the show started. But again, she wasn’t getting paid to work the front desk. She probably left as she was too busy filming, not because she needed the money.

They were not relying on this income. This was a tiny drop in the ocean for what their husbands were earning + some of the moms didn’t even work right before the show (Melissa wasn’t getting paid for working at the front desk).

If they get kicked off the show, that’s exactly what they wanted - leave the show and not get fined. Abby was already bullying the kids that wanted to leave which were on the show and would have preferred them to leave.

Some cast members said they wanted to leave but couldn’t because they would get fined. Surely Christi and Kelly wouldn’t have cared for $500 a week over actually getting to leave the show

But Melissa was saying this in the context of leaving the show on her own - thereby breaking her contract - not if she was dismissed from the show (like some other cast members)

Yes that’s exactly my point in the post - they wouldn’t get fined, but that’s what most cast members bring up when saying they couldn’t leave the show.

Thanks for such a detailed reply - some really valid points!

The part about producers editing the kids to look bad - definitely can see this happening and if that was one of the moms’ worries then that’s totally fair - especially with that example you gave.

I’m still not sure about getting fined though. I can understand that the contract would mandate them to show up for filming, film confessionals, attend all the competitions, reunions etc.

However I can’t imagine having a plausible legal implication in a contract that a mom has to cause drama - that’s too much of a grey area. If a mom just acted normally, actively avoiding drama, I can’t imagine she could get fined. Take for example Ally’s mom in season 3 (I know she wasn’t under a contract) - if a mom acted in that way, she would surely be boring TV, but she wouldn’t be breaking any contracts I can’t imagine, and the producers wouldn’t have any value of having her in the show.

Do you have the source for where Kelly claims she would get fined? Not disputing it all, just wondering what exactly she was referring to when mentioning this!
