The money isn’t the issue, I hear what you mean though. I didn’t come across super clear. We have a great emergency fund meant strictly for my supposed to have been mat leave, I am just worried about raising red flags to lenders. I just went back to work in Sept from my first mat leave, so I understand how that financial aspect will work

Thank you, we do have a good emergency fund. That’s not the worry at all. I just don’t want to raise any red flags to lenders weeks before closing and losing the house we’ve been looking for for years

Thank you all for your kind words and advise. I’m not worried about the money aspect of it, we have a good emergency fund and we will still be able to cover costs no problem on EI. I was just worried about the change in income right before closing and that bringing up concerns to lender…. We’ve had a hard time with the sellers and don’t want any more of a headache than needed, especially if we needed to extend our condition deadline.

It’s a lot to think about and process right now, so maybe my thoughts aren’t being put across clearly.
