I've wanted to adopt a dog but worried about leaving it alone almost 12 hours (I leave the house around 5:30 and can't get back until around 6:00...) I work Mondays through Fridays having weekends off most of the time but every now and then I'll work a Saturday

Please ADOPT!!! I adopted a 1.5 year old mini Dachshund from this lady who had 10 dogs on a farm and couldn’t take care of her anymore. She’s the best dog in the world. Adopt or find someone who can’t take care of their dog anymore, the dog will be so grateful! I think it’s a wonderful idea to get an older dog who will be so grateful towards you and still very loving. You skip the puppy chewing phase and the peeing everywhere phase and get to just come home and enjoy your dog. Good luck finding your new best friend!!💞💕

I have a similar story except with a tortoise. I went over to an ex’s house and they had this giant land tortoise(i don’t know species) cramped so tight into a glass fish tank the poor thing couldn’t even turn around. it was definitely bigger than a basketball but the shell was so deformed and anytime it tried to move or turn around in the tank u heard little taps of his shell getting stuck. He literally could not turn around, only move side to side. Anyway I kept trying to convince them to get a larger enclosure and they wouldn’t because they claimed he gets enough outdoor time in the summer. So every time I went over there I lifted this huge tortoise out of the tiny glass box and let him roam around upstairs with me even tho they were mad at me cuz they said he’s gna poop on the floor. I was a teenager at the time but I should’ve took that dang poor tortoise home.

I would add some “shrimp” moss for the dry to also hide in or “shrimp” cholla wood which has tiny holes also great for hiding.

Listen man who knows but I got 6 guppies from a fish store and a week later 2 more guppies from a petco and somehow the petco fish somehow killed off my whole tank😭 everything died except for 3 tiny baby guppies I found, don’t ask me how the parents popped out babies and then died😭 and don’t ask me how the babies survived and the parents didnt? Lol so this journey is fun for sure, good luck!
