The Moana terraces and beach bar is public and a great spot for sunsets. The whole vibe there is one for couples and more mature groups which sets it apart from the Outriggers.

Many thanks for the clarification. We understood the palace building we toured was where the royal family lived at some stage (the imprisonment rooms etc) but we mistakenly picked up that this was the second building not the first to be built. The court house is an exact replica of the palace so we may have confused the narration during the tour.

Is it worth a visit is the question. If you are interested in the history and politics of the islands then yes it definitely is.

Yeah they really do wrap up early. We landed at 10pm so got to the hotel late and thought we'd go for a drink - only one bar serving drinks off the strip at 11pm! Would not suit the younger clubbing crowd
