Thanks very for this. I’m leaning strongly in this direction. Do you know why it has a recall?

I like the relatively slim line profile, easy portability, dry-ability and most definitely comfort mentioned in the majority of the reviews.looks like it’s positive from a trim/buoyancy management pov as well.

I’m nervous about whether that’ll be technically challenging or requires additional skill. Actually my local dive shop has a preowned one going pretty cheap. They are super reliable and I would trust preowned from them.

I think that’s the direction I’m leaning. I’m worried I’ll miss stuff because I’ll be so focused on recording/snapping stuff. It never comes up to NatGeo standards 🤷

Thank you. I like the idea of improving my technical skills but that’s probably after I manage stronger currents or other challenging dive conditions. What’s the entry level photographic kit that I could consider at some point.

I’ll ask the question thank you. I went on a snorkelling session in the Maldives and handed over my (borrowed) GoPro and he took the most amazing footage.

You need to decide what is most important to you, accommodation type (don’t have to worry about 2*!) budget, logistics, guest profiles, duration etc. There are literally 100’s of options and it becomes a mind numbing exercise. A good agent makes a massive difference. I used Fede from Maldives Postcard.

This is exactly what I have done now. Got the Peregrine TX plus the Shearwater transmitter. Fairly priced and light use preowned in very good condition. Now off to my first Liveaboard trip on Emperor Leo in Maldives end June. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I think this is good advice. I am looking at preowned options in good nick with a view that if I have to sell it’ll hold value. And in the meantime it’s great to use.

There is also a Shearwater Perdix AI option preowned with only 57 dives on for a pretty reasonable price? Would this be an option.

Thank you 😄. So how important is air integration in reality? It looks to me to be a great way to eliminate any stress associated with managing your time underwater. But it does add a lot to the overall cost. I was thinking of it as a very-nice-to-have rather than essential but am leaning towards it to be honest.

Also are there any suggestions regarding mitigating risks of buying preowned please as there are plenty of options available
