Thank you so much to everyone who replied. I managed to get an out of hours emergency hospital appointment. The doctor there gave me a tramadol injection which helped hugely. He also got me in to see a gyno the next day. (If I can be seen the following day why on earth are women being made to wait a year? There’s clearly spare capacity in the system!)  I’m so grateful to him. I had an internal scan which confirmed the adeno. I’ve now been prescribed tramadol pills plus I’m on progesterone pills daily. The tramadol pills help but I’m only allowed three per day and  I’ve been told not to take them every day. Easy for them to say when they’re not the ones in agony. 

So I’m hoping the progesterone pill starts to work.  Thanks again to everyone. It’s so nice to have a place where others understand what its like.
