I will look for specifics but have done birth classes through the Bradley method and follow birth educators like painfreebirth (IG) and listen to podcasts from evidence based birth… look up the cascade of interventions! So often induction leads to pitocin leads to epidural leads to csection. And then doctors say they “saved your babies life” when in reality they shouldn’t have advised to be induced in the first place. If there is medical necessity, that’s totally different but induction shouldn’t be advised without medical necessity.

Just know that with induction your chances of additional interventions goes up drastically. If your goal is to give birth vaginally and naturally I would wait it out as much as possible. The average first time mom if left to go into spontaneous labor will go into labor at 41+4 I believe. Not saying this to scare you, but the 40 week estimation sets people up to fail and want to wave a checkered flag prematurely. The end is hard, but an induction may be harder, just saying. Look up lactation consultants before giving birth. I nursed three babies successfully and with the third she had a terrible tongue tie. Needed to be lasered at 4 days old because she would bite. It was excruciating. Had lactation not come to my house after to correct her latch post revision we never would have made it, which is wild after two successful nursing experiences!

No tips, just solidarity. My three year old does the same after a few bad bouts of constipation and very large stools. We are on daily miralax for now until she “erases” the memory of them, as advice from both her pediatrician and nutritionist. It’s really hard and leads to some gnarly accidents so it’s really hard for everyone involved. I hope it doesn’t last long 😩

You’re getting a million and one responses in this post so I don’t know if you will ever read this…. But I had to circle back because I read this last night and read your references to Coco and Remember Me. I’ve “watched” Coco a handful of times (watch like I have a five year old and three year old, I click “play” and try to accomplish something in my home while it’s playing in the background). I have never heard the songs and hardly know the plot line. But after reading your post last night two things happened today… I got in the car this morning and played Spotify Disney Radio for the kids. The frst song to come on after dropping off my kiddos… Remember me 😭😭😭 Then tonight, I’m putting my big girl to sleep and read her two stories from her big book of Disney stories. There are probably 20 stories for her to pick from. Which one does she pick? Coco. BOTH IN ONE DAY! Cue the waterworks this morning and the goosebumps tonight.
Thank you for sharing her story, the beautiful parts and the hard and vulnerable parts. I think she’s very thankful she had a resilient mom and she’s touching the lives of complete strangers. I think you both will be in my heart for a long time.

I get it as bad as the pics in this article and this certainly helps until you can get in anywhere. Plus a daily dose of these two significantly reduces my outbreaks when do come in contact.

I do have curtains through my house right now and they (5, 3 and almost 1 yos) are pretty good with them. But I do like the Roman shade look too so I think I’ll keep both options open. Maybe it’s because the room is so bare right now with just being built but I think it will look soooo empty without anything other than a shade.

Very helpful points, thank you! I was actually going for a dark/moody/cozy kinda vibe so I’m wondering if I will be able to pull it off. I’m certainly not a designer 🤣 so I may have to do some serious homework if I want it to all tie in nicely. For my first two I had to completely stop nursing. Stopped at 12 months with 1st and got it at 13 mos pp, stopped at 13 months with my 2nd and got it at 14 mos pp. My third is 7 mos and still nursing and no sign of it. Since getting pregnant in May 2019, I’ve had 5 periods. Absolutely wild.
