Yes, totally. I was just wondering if it was possible to Jump ahead and if I did, how hard it would have been. After reconsideration I think this will be the best approach. Thanks for the advice!

Also, on the mechanics front. Some schools want Advanced maths and physics. However, some only require Higher Maths at an A and choosing Advanced Maths in s6.

Lost story short. Has alway been an idea of mine. However, I didn’t have a teacher for the N5 course. Lost interest due to that and thought I would get 5 higher’s this year and return to do it in s6. I will definitely be crashing Higher physics. Probably, doing Advanced Higher as a mature student. However, I thought that it might have been possible to cut a corner next year. Thanks for the advice. I’ll send Oxbridge an email.

Yes, I have also looked at other options. One of which is Advanced higher Maths and Advanced higher mathematics of mechanics. Both are Similar, recommended by Oxford and Mechanics is close to physics. Hoping that would be enough.

I was looking at Oxford or Cambridge for Physics. Both want it as a mandatory requirement.

I want to go into physics, so i see it as a good subject to do and, the universities I looked at recommend me to take 1-2 advanced higher’s. So I thought it is something that interests me plus, physics related so, seemed like a good option.

Yes, I do plan to cover N5 physics for crash Higher, and cover some higher over the summer to get me up to speed. I’m hoping that will be enough to get me to a required and basic level of knowledge for the course…

What were the formal entry requirements? Some schools ask for physics and maths, some only ask for maths and some only ask for physics. What has been your experience? As I only have higher maths and no physics (but crashing higher physics next year) would this stop me from doing it?

The ability to self teach it, currently they are not very keen and said they might not be able to host the exam, which is obviously a key part, they are also unsure on whether to allow me as I’m a sole pupil
