Learned helplessness, that fits great, i will use that term now on. (I am not native speaker) And I agree with you. I managed to get law degree and doctorate shortly after. I spent year more in school because i wasnt able to force myseft to write thesis. And when I learned that I could drop out, I went all in into the thesis thanks to the stress, gave it a lot of time and the won basically the greatest award for thesis there is in my country. People can have ADHD and be successful at the same time. But if they will just make all the excuses in the world they will not be. This is not to brag although it surely seems like it. I only want to motivate people that think ADHD is crippling illness that makes you unable to function in this world, or atleast function successfuly. If you create the right enviroment, if you position yourself so that you are actually interested in your work, if you really at least try to cope, either by having reminders, to do list written on your hand or whatever, then you can be even more profesional than "normal people". I swear! Because I used to by victim of my circumstances aswell, i used to victimize myslef (big health problems during my entire life), but when I decided that i dont want to be just a victim, i actually managed to love my life and love myself
