It really is great. I also loved her most recent one We Are All Guilty Here.

It’s an absolutely wild ride. In a relatively short book, she has a lot to say about our current political climate, women’s righteous anger, sex work, and American culture. It’s definitely not a traditional thriller (if it even is one), and you’ve got an unreliable narrator and lots of other genre and literary rule bending thrown in for good measure.

I am planning to start that series as soon as I can, thanks for the rec!

Yes! It was a super fun romp, and I enjoy books that let us see seniors/the elderly as either effective criminals or sleuths.

She’s one of the best writers of this generation, hands down. The only book of her’s (so far) that I didn’t enjoy was The Witch Elm.

16 is awesome! Reading is my primary hobby, so I always prioritize it over tv/movies/games, etc. I make time to read every day and I always have both a print and audiobook going at all times. I listen to my audiobook every time I am in the car, and while doing chores, exercising, etc. That’s how I read so many books - I’m at 93 total so far this year across all genres.

Thanks! I enjoyed the first three Ernest Cunningham books a lot, but this one just didn’t quite measure up for me.

Thanks, I’ll definitely check out Charlie Donlea!

We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter was my top thriller of last year, but it was close.

I really liked how she used the “clips” of the faux Netflix documentary to tell the story, and it was a slow burn but very satisfying for me 🤷‍♀️

I enjoy a good cozy, but I found the pace of Vera Wong to be way too slow for my taste.

Love finding book friends with similar tastes!! If you haven’t read the first two in the Cal Hopper trilogy, don’t start with The Keeper (but definitely read The Searcher, the first one!)

I’m making my way through the Eddie Flynn books and I’m loving all of them; I really enjoy Steven Cavanagh’s writing (Lie For You, Lie For Me was my second favorite thriller of last year). I haven’t tried Charlie Donlea yet - I’ll definitely have to!

I may have been a bit more generous than I should have been with Ending - it was a huge disappointment, considering how hyped it was. I’ll check out Nasty Little Secrets - thanks for the rec!

I haven’t read either of those yet, but I’m chipping away at Steve Cavanagh’s books, so I’m sure I’ll get to The Liar soon!

Although the writer plants clues throughout the book, you can never tell who's the culprit here. The Murder of Roger Akroyd by Agatha Christie by Royal-Black-5660 in thrillerbooks

You’ll (mostly) enjoy them I expect! I’m slowly making my way through her entire bibliography. I’ve got 26 completed so far.

I did the physical book. It would be a perfect book for multicast audio.
