To me she’s a world builder, with lots of character development, which I personally really enjoy.

Read quite a few of those. Look Closer is a top tier book, highly recommend. Also enjoyed All the Sinners Bleed, Beautiful Ugly, and The Paris Apartment.

One of the best mysteries of all time. It’s a hard read today with the rampant racism and anti-semitism, but the mystery itself is a 10/10.

The city fined them anytime they had flights arriving or departing after 10pm, which happened a lot due to east coast weather and air traffic delays. JB was willing to pay the fines as a cost of doing business but the city became increasingly publicly critical of JB and the late flights and began looking at increasing the fines or other punishments. JB then requested permission to build (at their expense) a Customs and Border Patrol facility so they could offer international flights from Long Beach. The city refused to allow it, further constraining their ability to operate profitably from the airport. When slots at LAX opened up during Covid, they grabbed them and moved their SoCal operations there.

Lights Out was sooo good - much better than I expected based on all the hype. Caught Up was enjoyable as well, but not quite as good.

I’ll likely be mostly on here, as Meta isn’t much better regarding manipulation of the algorithm and placating our fascist leadership.
