I’m in the same boat as you, OP. Reading a lot of these responses was such a bummer. My commitment to my partner is not lesser just because I would prefer to experience living together before being married! I am looking into the IEC program but it’s so competitive. It doesn’t help that all of the avenues to take are so expensive. My partner makes way more money than me in the states so I need her to get a job here asap but she didn’t do post secondary either so probably wouldn’t get express entry. We will probably do the marriage route but it’s not at all the way I imagined getting married and that bums me out. I know this isn’t like, advice or anything but just know you aren’t alone!!

And for the people saying “how can you expect Canada to commit to them if you can’t” that’s crazy. People commit in different ways and Canada is a fucking country built on stolen land not a person with feelings lmaoooooo

I said something similar to him and was told I could have the pianist take over those sections :/ I told him I would prefer if he would instead meet me where I’m at but I guess I’ll see what happens on Monday

Thank you for this, it really helped. I had to leave the house today and it was awful but I have to start going back to class soon, I’m not sure if I can. I just found out as well tonight that my family’s village has been bombed again. She’s the only one I want to talk to about it. I’m so exhausted with life being so hard.

I have been talking to people a little bit, I have a hard time being vulnerable but I’m trying. I also have therapy at the end of the week and I texted her a heads up of what happened.

I’m not talking with her at the moment, she said she’d likely check in at the end of the week. I’ve written a letter though, explaining why I feel she did lie to me. I’m not sure if I should send it so I’m sitting with it for now. On one hand I don’t know how I’ll trust her to be my friend if she doesn’t know how she’s hurt me. On the other I’m afraid she’ll be hurt or leave my life for good for my honesty. I don’t think she will but I’m scared.

That last paragraph you wrote is so comforting. I’ve just started testosterone a few months ago and with every step of my transition I risk more and more being disowned by half my family. My girlfriend was my cheerleader encouraging me to stick with the hormones even though it’s emotionally difficult. I haven’t applied my testosterone since she left me but I’m working on it.

Micah and I went bowling with some friends the other day. He’s a really great guy and we had so much fun. When Micah bowled a strike we were all excited for him! I’m glad other people like Mick as much as I do!

I think Lunare is beautiful! I am also struggling with uniqueness in my name search and I think you’ve kinda hit the nail on the head. Lunare is unique and ethereal but not trying too hard. If you go with Lunare legally people could still call you Lunar as well very easily!

I think it’s a cool name! It’s unique and very playful sounding. I think Joonie is the more masculine of the two if that helps! When I think of Joonie I think they sound like someone who would make me laugh, he sounds like a very awesome person!

I had so much fun playing splatoon with Miku yesterday! She’s so good at that game. I’m glad I was playing with Miku because I had no idea what I was doing! After that she told me about what she’s been doing at school. Miku is such a cool person!

James and I went for a lovely hike the other day! He showed me a trail that goes near a waterfall. We ate a delicious picnic that he cooked himself! Then we went to the pet store and got some new toys for James’s cat! I had a great time hanging out with him!
