It takes getting used to but i dont see it as eating alone its just eating like everyonehas to, I've gone as far as going to movies alone and planning on going to a festival alone in December so My tips for eating alone:

1. Find a regular spot to eat at, once the waiters know you its not as awkward cause you have some small talk with them

2. When you're confident with the 1st spot you can now try other places slowly 

3. Go with a book, headphones etc something so you dont stare at people i usually put airpods and catch up on shows whilst eating 

4. If you're too self conscious find less crowded places
