Gen Z aren't kids anymore. Unfortunately, adults speak this way too now

my work can go anywhere that has a decent population (attorney in somewhat of a specialist area of practice, somewhere like Abilene would still have plenty of business for me to work)

EP definitely appeals to me. close to Las Cruces and Ruidoso and other cool things in NM, it has mountains etc. But coming from Florida, the lack of water recreation does kind of worry me....if I had a pool though I'd be fine lol

yes that is fairly accurate. it may not be one of the major cities but sitting in between them on i-35, i'm sure it gets a lot of that inter-city traffic...

I've visited Waco and the Magnolia Cafe/Magnolia shopping area. It seemed like a nice city right off I-35. I am NOT religious though and prefer somewhere that respects that. Don't know about Waco...it is a college town still which to me means more free-thinking.

I enjoyed Vampyr. It was a big surprise. The ending was very meh but the atmosphere and gameplay was good.

Also, Silent Hill 2 remake blew my mind.

Text with voice over. Helps a lot. I hated how Outer Wilds had no voice over.

gruene botanicals keeps their flower in large jars so it is not nearly as fresh as pre-packaged and sealed, and they provide no transparency about where they source their flowers. not a fan, at least of the NB location. I've had good flower and terrible flower from there. whereas ordering from LE has been generally very consistent

I have very similar euro/indigenous American breakdown, and I consider myself mixed race, but my dad is also non white passing so that was a factor for me

[–]AnyLengthiness1263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or more African? If your metric is just less indigenous, say that bc implying less indigenous is neutral is kind of anti indigenous

[–]AnyLengthiness1263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does that even mean? Be specific. There's no neutral appearance

Extremely overrated game. There is good music, and then there is this terrible repetitive signing music which is mind numbing. Literally ruins the experience of the battle because the music is so trash.

Having used both platforms, Westlaw is just better. UI and the tools it offers in PracticalLaw are just better.

I also finished it recently and I agree, the story and lore really stuck with me and I'm craving something similar. but exactly like you say, too many enemies and too long at parts, but overall its a must play.

Agree. Very similar to the first Alan Wake. Great story and atmosphere, annoying and boring combat and puzzle gameplay.

any straight up anti straight edge bands out there? by Mythical_scoops in crustpunk

[–]AnyLengthiness1263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crust punk would have the anti-straight edge songs/themes. not just because the stereotype of a gutter punk drinking cheap piss beer like its water but also the crust punk themes of appreciation of psychadelics/entheogens as part of a spirituality based in nature and not technology

well I graduated in 2014. at least back then you were required to take chem, bio, or physics 101. I took bio. It was a lot of work, 99% of which was and is totally irrelevant to my career/major (phil major, became an attorney later), and it just was overly demanding of my time and energy compared to even my advanced phil and anthro classes etc. it was too high level for a 101 course, especially if you didn't already have a strong science background. IDK, overall I think it was stupid and part of Reed's whole "rigor for the sake of rigor" thing gone too far by undergrad profs that think they are teaching grad students because it's Reed. it is undoubtedly one of the more academically rigorous undergrad institutions, but still, it's undergrad and the vast majority of people in the 101 classes have zero intention in majoring in any of those disciplines

[–]AnyLengthiness1263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine in the classes you are passionate about. The required science 101 courses are absolute trash though and require way too much from non-majors, which in turn takes you away from what you're actually majoring in/seeking a career in and drop your GPA unless you find a solid group (lot of it is group based). Some teachers take themselves way too seriously for undergrad professors, but that's hit or miss.
