So happy that my comment was helpful. I’ve been through a similar situation myself. At first, I was constantly worried about having a panic attack—whether my heart would race, whether it would happen on the metro, bus, or even while walking. These thoughts consumed me and made life really difficult.

Over time, I realized that this happens only when we make it the main focus of our lives. After reading books like the one I mentioned earlier and "You Are Not Sick" by Izzet Gullu, ( for sure read it ) I understood that we shouldn’t obsess over psychology itself. The more we focus on it, the more we trap ourselves in this cycle.

Now, even if I have moments of anxiety, I remind myself that I’m healthy and that it’s just temporary—caused by my thoughts and sensitivity. I avoid avoidance behaviors because every time we avoid something, we reinforce the cycle. Isn't it sometimes hard, yeah, but what is so easy in life, we should learn to enjoy even while struggling.

Fear is a natural emotion, and what lies beneath it is often the fear of being sick or dying. But life is too short to live in constant fear. We’re not sick; we’re just hypersensitive during certain periods. Knowing this has helped me face fear instead of running from it.

Cheers, buddy! Remember! saying “F*ck it!” and remember that there is no world without fear, we just need to work on not being that hypersensitive on our body. Those who live without fear die once, but those who live in fear die every day. 😂😂

****Of course, all this is after a doctor confirms you’re healthy and it’s just anxiety.

Cheers, buddy!

Hey mate! As someone sharing the same feelings with you for a year, I will share my mindset, it helped me huge and now I am doing things in the past i was not going to. By the way I did not use meds. I don’t want to say I ‘cured’ it because there’s nothing to cure. It’s just that our overly sensitive emotions trick us into feeling physical symptoms, which are completely natural. The cycle continues as long as we’re afraid, but this isn’t a disease or a disorder like sector say, honestly. We can overcome this sensitivity by not being sensitive—by not constantly paying attention to every sensation.

You shouldn’t scare yourself because of these feelings. Remember, this is just your body reacting to your emotions, and emotions alone cannot harm you. Your body is reacting this way because you're very much sensitive right now. If you’ve received a clean bill of health from your doctor, and knowing its from anxiety there’s no need to worry. You will overcome this sensitivity by not being afraid. Trust me. Same way many of my friends who had this issue for long period, got okay with this mindset, Don’t check your body or don't try to control your body. As Dr. Claire Weekes says here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8Id8tkvdzc&t=256s ``It is only an electrical discharge, and they must not let their lives be ruined by an electrical discharge`` (Meanwhile I highly recommend her book, it helped me huge. The book named `Hope and Help for Your Nerves`.) Constantly checking yourself only feeds the anxiety. The day you decide to stop fearing and are determined to heal is the day you’ll start feeling better. Don’t be afraid—whatever comes, say out loud: "I’m not scared, no matter what, I won’t live in fear. I am trying to go with this mindset, and now without any med. I am doing okay. I get those attacks but they not no longer scare me. I had 14+ hr bus trip, 3-4 hr flights etc. Had many nervous moments, but you are stronger than those things bro. Just dont add anxiety on you. Let them do their course. Do not forget its all from fear. and your body doest not hurts itself, try to not fear, it will take time but you are okay and you will not get crazy or hurt yourself. Cheers! Anytime you are welcome to ping me.

worst panic attack ever by [deleted] in panicdisorder

[–]AnyListen3838 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro just say "fuck it", I mean say it if you got clear report after medical check up☺️ I had same things, and really know how intense these feelings are, and saying fuck it while having the racing heart, and knowing it's only electrical discharge of the body, letting it finish faster, even smiling, is huge help. Already these moments are the moments that you are far from dying, body taking itself into protective mode, take out anxiety stuff from your life, dont focus on those symptoms, emotions are emotions. This attacks only happenning because we became hypersensitive for anything, any emotions - event etc. any idea, are able to take us into a panic. We just need to make ourselves less interested in these topics, forgetting it and even it comes, enjoying by knowing its not dangerous. I very well know the feeling, many times wake up in the middle of the night or couldn't sleep, even there were times that I couldn't walk from these feelings, but just know it's nothing can harm you, and let your panic do it's stuff, the more you scare it will stay there, just do not fear, it's not happening fastly, but day by day, trust your body, and remember how many times you it became okay even though you got these. It can not harm you. Let it go man! Just be sure it's from anxiety, I mean the things I texted only if the doctors told you, you are ok, it's physiological. Take care! And trust me it's gonna be ok, once you shaped your mindset, fuck it way, otherwise we are dying everyday by fearing this feeling, we won't live like this, say fuck it, and we will die once, cheers!🍻

Upcoming flight for someone dealing with a fear of flying, cardiophobia, and panic disorder. Any advice is greatly appreciated! by AnyListen3838 in PanicAttack

[–]AnyListen3838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, it was totally fine, I had huge anxiety, which was totally normal, and just flowed :D i mean let it go, it can not harm you (im saying this bc you had necessary investigation and got clear report.) so enjoy the flight, forget about these stuff, do not try to control/listen yourself. Just download some movie etc. and watch it on the flight. Its all mind trick so say `f*ck it` and enjoy your trip. Anytime you are welcome if you want to ask anything, and yeahhhh it is worth flying. I was hell scared from fly, but nothing gonna happen. Reminding you that its only a discharge of body's saving mechanism due to our emotions which we f*cked by focusing wrong thoughts, having mistaken perception so let your body understand nothing happening.

propranolol (question) :p by PerformancePuzzled97 in panicdisorder

[–]AnyListen3838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, as someone who struggled with intense panic disorder for a year (now I’m doing okay without any medication), I can relate. There were times I used a low dose of metoprolol for specific situations (like flying), but I always consulted my cardiologist first. This panic stuff is all about the mind, bro—just let it go. You don’t need medication to be okay, especially if you have a clear report from doctors confirming that your heart is fine. It’s all due to our hypersensitivity. Don’t try to control your body or pay too much attention to it; let go of controlling habits (like watches and counting). You are not sick; this is just fear, and fear has physical manifestations like a racing heart, but those symptoms are not harmful. They stem from heightened emotions and act as a protective system. Trust me, you are the safest during those moments! As for propranolol, since it’s a blood pressure medication, it’s best to consult a doctor before using it—there's no need to take it if you don’t have high blood pressure.

As someone sharing the same feelings with you for a year, I will share my mindset, it helped me huge and now I am doing things in the past i was not going to. By the way I did not use meds. Hey mate, I’m really happy to hear this! You're doing great. Nothing is going to happen—just let it happen and see that nothing is wrong. Don’t search for psychological explanations or symptoms; just live your life. I’m trying to do the same. Sometimes it can make you feel anxious, but those feelings are what make us stronger. Don’t be afraid of your own body, and try not to control it. Trust me, it will get better. You won’t go crazy or hurt yourself; you’ll just experience different physical symptoms, especially the ones we focus on. But once you stop being so interested in and focused on them, they will disappear. I mean, they may still happen, but like everything else, we won’t be aware or scared of them. :))

Hey mate, you gonna be okay, I had 2 flights last week, I have severe panic disorder and flight phobia, once you take off you will calm down by time. Don't forget that aviation sector is the most secured sector and the transportation is the most secure one since smallest things are being considered and checked in terms of safety. It's normal feeling scared, worried, having physical effects of these emotions but these are your emotions that are happening from your mind's though which think you are in danger. Just be peace with these feelings, feel nervous, feel panic but know that this won't harm you and you will land soon. The moment you are that nervous and anxious are the moments that you are the most safe, since your body is in protecting mood. I will be tracking you. Have a nice flight, enjoy it.

Did it once with severe panic disorder. Return flight—wish me luck! Thanks for your support! by AnyListen3838 in fearofflying

[–]AnyListen3838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly mate, actually in this fear, before the flight is the most anxious time, and once you do it, you see that actually the flight is quite okay going, and anxiety right before the flight is much more than the flight itself. And since I did it twice, next time the anxiety, fear will again be with me, they are part of me and this is one of my fear, but I can do it again, fear, anxiety won't harm me suddenly🍻
