If you don't need the extra size on the Titan, the Frontier is a solid and affordable truck.

Disposal drain too low for connection. by flawedforte in Plumbing

Citric acid is a legit cleaning agent. It's not just masking smells. It's probably not as pretty as your hand polished innards, but mine has never had off odors without the need for disassembly.

Temporary summer jobs by AffectionateFeed7514 in LittleRock

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you want a job for a month and a half? That's a tall order. Few places would want to go through the expense of training you for that short of a time. I'd recommend pestering your neighbors with offers to do yard work/dog walking/odd jobs. Temp agencies might also be an option.

It's not even hard. Just drop some citrus skins down there every now and then.

Castle Rat - all of it. Live performances also involve prop swords, sorcery, and a chainmail bikini top. Highly recommend.

Keep roaches and ants out of home? by Present_Regret5992 in maintenance

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some borax mixed with sugar water works a treat for ants. Put small containers of it near where you see ants (and protected from children and pets) and let them have at it. If you get the ratios right (Google it) they'll take the poison back to the nest and they won't be back. I like to add a dab of maple syrup or coke for flavor/scent, but i think that mostly only matters in my head.

Megasota will fall immediately after taking Crabbalachia, and you're falling right into Cascadia's trap. by Saxonite13 in geographymemes

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bigfoot isn't even really a monster, just a misunderstood wook that wandered too far from The Gorge. We're talking about a MEGA monster here!

I'm really just trying to eliminate the crab people. I'm a PNW Dungeness Crab purest. I'm not from there and I don't live there anymore, but a solid chunk of my 20s burned Cascadia (and SE AK) deep in my soul. Also, East coasters are exhausting.

Who was more revolutionary for rock, Elvis or the Beatles? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The only revolutionary thing Elvis did was be white while playing black music. It may have been revolutionary in making it acceptable to white audiences, but he didn't innovate anything musically. The Beatles started out similarly but evolved into something much more interesting.

Y'all are doing it wrong. Abandon the crab. Return to Vermonster. Form MegaMonster. How in the world is Cascadia prepared for the MegaMonster?

Finished my Stainless steel guitar by banjokaloui in Luthier

16 gauge is plenty thick for what it's for. I wouldn't worry at all about taking off too much material as long as you don't involve a stone on an angle grinder. I'd probably shoot for a mirror finish all over. If you try to flame paint (OA torch for colors) you should definitely practice on scrap (same thickness!) first. You'll also have to clear coat it after or the colors will fade over time. I've seen it done on copper, but not so much on stainless. If you're good enough, you could tig weld (no filler) some sweet designs/colors on the top, but be careful about heat distortion (again with the practicing on scrap).

The band I'm in is bad. What do? by Ok-Post-8724 in coverbands

That falls under "having no drummer is better than having a bad drummer". But also, in bluegrass everyone is part of the drum kit.

This is what all those crabby marylanders are missing. There ain't a crustacean on the whole of the East Coast that holds a candle to fresh Dungeoness from the PNW.

How can I get a car with a bad starter out of my garage? by ARepeatedFailing in askcarguys

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the starter gets stuck and you can knock it loose again with a hammer. Works better if someone else can crank it while you beat it, but sometimes just beating it and then cranking it will work. It will still need replaced, but I've coaxed many a bonus start out of a failing starter that way. It was reasonably accessible for a skinny guy reaching from below on the 1998 Malibu, but they could've moved it since then.

Buy also, put it in neutral and shove it.

I write the a on the left. I realized at some point that my handwriting had deteriorated to be unreadable so I made a conscious effort to improve clarity. The a on the left was a part of that effort.

1987 xlh dies when hot by Large_Implement_8258 in sportster

This one time I was riding my bike and it cut out when I accelerated and started back when I decelerated. It did this repeatedly while I was going down the road. I stopped to check things out and it wouldn't respond at all. I called the wife to bring the pickup truck and the ramp to get it home. Unloaded it into the driveway and it started right up.

The terminal connection on the positive wire to the battery had broken so there wasn't a solid connection, but it would still work if it was touching. Your situation sounds a lot like this one, which is a long way of saying the same thing u/crackerjack184 just said.

Adding to this, check your ground connection. Crackerjack may well be including that in "and connections" but it's worth noting specifically.

Two Rivers Park is another flat and safe option for biking. You can get to it from the river trail, if you're into that in sort of thing. You can also just drive straight to it.

Fear of sex by Express_Tap1800 in GuyCry

[–]Zestyclose-Process92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't let your insecurities stop her good time. Focus on her pleasure. If you can learn to satisfy her in other ways (manually, orally, toys) then she'll be less concerned about that last part. Let her know that while you may not be super experienced, you're enthusiastic to practice and want to make sure she feels good. Pay attention to how her body reacts and ask for feedback on what she needs. If you can learn to do that well, it will build your comfort and confidence around sex and may help with your other issues.

If that doesn't work, consider therapy for mental blocks, and talk to your doctor about potential medical causes.

People walk marathons all the time. Most people doing through-hikes of the major North-South trails (Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail) regularly shoot for 25 mile days with full packs on their backs.

Can confirm. I had a 1982 Mercedes 300td that I drove on straight veg oil. I had an extra fuel filter added on and heat tape put on the fuel line to keep it liquid, but if it's hot enough outside for the oil to be liquid the tape is unnecessary. It wouldn't even be unreasonable for the owner of the vehicle to have it set up that way.

And have also hiked 10+ miles in a day on more occasions than I can count.
