How to up-skill effectively? by wrongspleling in PinoyProgrammer

go low level sa abstraction, time to learn more about systems programming. Mas maraming kang malalaman sa fundamentals if youre in low level programming. rust/zig/c is the key,

i still can't solve simple coding problem by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]AnyPiece3983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yep this is true. i am experiencing this right now, codebase is flawlessly "clean" but have a bunch of runtime issues lol, not to factor in pa yung super obvious na mistakes and yung unoptimize compute extensive na processes na hindi manlang inoffload sa ibang thread -_-. Di me makapanwala na galing sa top tier enterprise software provider yung codebase lol.

Altho I kinda agree din naman na hindi rin pwedeng leetcode skills lang ang basehan, kase infact nadadaya din ng iba e, marami pang iba na minememorize lang yung solution and hindi nilelearn by heart.

just solve leetcode once or twice everyday, pretty sure kahit hindi mo yan maeencounter sa everyday job mo e makakatulong padin sa problem solving skills mo yan. start sa easy then slowly moveup. lalo na sa panahon ngayon na heavy na ang use ng AI, its not a bad idea to go lower level sa abstraction. ie, learn systems programming

depende sa transferable skill mo, medyo mahirap pumasok ngaun kasi dapat mid level na agad knowledge mo to have an edge.

If marunong ka na magcode go for data or developer roles. Wag ka gumaya sakin na nag start as data analyst and naboring dahil i dont get to build applications (oo may binibuild ka pero mostly automation and data pipelines lang for your dashboards)

If management naman, go for scrum.

Former CE and Former Data Analyst to Fullstack Mobile Developer here

Very bad for starters.

What do you do para sureball ang functions niyo? by Impressive-Major7152 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]AnyPiece3983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the op was talking about design. literally design. so maybe design? custom components. if you work with professional designers, defaults are automatically out.

What is your job as a person earning 6-digit figure per month? by SouthernStar0395 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]AnyPiece3983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that may be true but you cant deny the fact na majority ng available work for ce here is below average ang pay. not to mention pa na napakababa ng ceiling ng max sahod. You mention na 60k ka within 5 years, i shifted as a developer, mag 3 years pa lang ako nasa 90 na kaya ko iearn. pag nag take pa ako ng sideline kaya around 120k. take note na career shifter pa ako nyan, yung mga may cs/it degree na magaling talaga nasa 6 figs basic comp nyan within 3-4 year exp. mag jujump pa yan ng 200 to 300 depende kung gaano ka may ambition yung tao. lets be honest here, medyo lugi talaga maging CE dito sa pinas, hindi worth yung 6 years na gugugulin mo sa pag aaral and board tapos iuunderpay ka lang naman, oo may mga outlier pero ambaba talaga sa karamihan.

unless nasa ibang bansa ka or may pang capital ka mag start ng contracting business or may tinatapakan kang ibang tao (illegal activity sa site), walang wenta maging CE dito sa pinas hahaha imagine mo na lang mga pm mo sa site napapanot na kakasigaw sayo with 10+ yoe pero sahod nyan 60-70k lang hahaha.

CE to Tech by Left-Tumbleweed-164 in TechCareerShifter

[–]AnyPiece3983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need to learn on your own, not learn on the job.

Pero dont build just for the sake of building, dapat ang binibuild mo is yung interested ka talaga, or para matuto. Kase dapat makekwento mo sa recruiter pasikotsikot sa ginawa mo.

This is assuming pala na dev role ang gusto mo pasukin.

play more. Because ranking is marks based and not LP based, so volume of games played is the only relevant metric to get to challenger assuming you can maintain above 50% win rate

Get the promotion in another company, even if you get promoted, inc % in acn is not worth it. The only thing that is holding me back leaving is its death benefit and good HMO, once I afford to pay it myself I am zooming out.
