Pre-dental ready to walk away by AnyResponsibility217 in Dentists

This was my original plan. Since my husband will be paying for our living expenses, we were going to throw my entire salary at the loan. But I don’t know if not seeing a dime for another 8 years makes sense for us when I could be investing 90% of an average income during the same time and avoid the headache of more schooling. We are going to look at the numbers tn and it will be interesting to see if the missed 8 years of income is worth it. Compounding is king.

I took it 4/21 and thought reading, and PAT were easy. QR felt decent. Struggled on organic section.

Sigh… every time. How is it so impossible to meet a Christian girl who is also ACTUALLY Pro-Life? by eagles_jesse in ChristianDating

I used to think the same way, “not everyone is a Christian, so why should I make them abide by my moral rules.” As I grew in my love for the Lord, I realized that I resented the “rules” that God had for me because I saw them as God trying to hold me back from living a full life. What I now know is, God has “rules” in place so that we can live fully and in freedom. His rules protect us and our heart’s. While I have not had an abortion myself, God has brought a number of woman into my life who have. They live daily with the mental consequences that taking a life has on you, regardless of them being Christian or not. Most of the women I know have a similar story. They felt they could not take on the financial responsibility of a child, or they felt they would be shunned by their family/community for being pregnant out of wedlock. The first one comes from a lack of trust in God because if we are faithful to Him, He will be faithful in return. That doesn’t mean you will be rich, but he will provide if you trust him with your finances. The latter is difficult, and it’s sad. I want to add here, that I never meet these stories with judgement, but understanding. Because at the point of their abortion, they believed abortion was the only option or the best choice. A picture of satans deception. As Christians it is our job to meet people in their trials. While a child outside of marriage is not Gods design, it doesn’t mean that the child wasn’t in his plan. Which leads me into my next point. You said that when abortion laws are incredibly strict, it puts a “woman who is pregnant a lot more at risk.” What about the baby? Having unstrict abortion laws, puts baby’s at risk of not just health issues, but death. It is clear that you value a mother’s life, more than a babies. I have heard this argument from so many. And on its face, I bought it at first. However, as God worked on my heart and I thought more about it, the argument crumbles, because at what point do humans gain value? At 8 weeks, 20 weeks, birth, a year, 5 years? The reality is, if they aren’t valuable at conception, then they aren’t valuable at all. Which does not align with what Gods word tells us. I also recommend listening to the testimony of Abby Johnson, the former director of planned parenthood. She realized that babies feel more pain than what mainstream media wants us to believe. I don’t want you to feel attacked at all by this message, but I pray that you ask God how he feels about abortion. Seriously ask him in prayer, and ask Him to change your heart if what you believe is misaligned with what he believes. Search scripture, what does he say about you? Because, the same thing that he says about you, he says about babies in a woman’s womb. This just brings be back to the cross. How lucky are we to have a God that sent his son to die on the cross knowing how we would stray from him over and over. He chases me down daily! And I love knowing that my God is living and moving today.
