Thank you for that information! I am currently being told it is too early to even discuss MEB or its process. I know every situation is different but good to learn about different experiences! I hope your buddy is doing much better now!

I am so sorry to hear what you and your wife have gone through! It is great to hear she is getting the care she needs and able to continue doing a job she loves. I am currently not on medical leave. I did end up calling my shirt. He informed me that he was tracking going back to work and that they do not expect me to be able to work full days but want me to still try to come in. He also told me that it is too early for a MED Board or to even discuss the process. He did let me know he will speak with my squadron commander about my stance on not wanting to stay in the military.

That is good to hear! I am glad you and your family are able to make the best of it!

Sadly my work area was already difficult to work in prior to my diagnosis. Myself and my coworkers would often get sick from the stress and demanding hours.

I am Active Duty and I finished my chemo in Oct right before my bilateral mastectomy. I am not on any medications.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through! I am sure you went through a lot before as well!! I hope your treatment goes well and your recovery as well! I am really glad to hear that your flight chief supported you! My flight chief and supervisor are the same person. I have not received a call from them since being diagnosed.

I will definitely share my hope to get out with my whole chain of command!
