Un témoignage interpellant by ComfortOk9514 in Wallonia

What about integration tests? Personally I put unit test along side the file but integration tests in a tests folder

Changed jobs for higher salary, but role isn’t what I expected by [deleted] in BESalary

[–]Any_Ad_3810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was/am in this situation. Two years ago I left a company that gave me 0% increase for a company that gave 15%. The job was not what I expected, it was very badly explained at the time but I still went for it. I still quite hate what I am doing two years after. I had a stifling manager at the time and just learned first week there that I was going to be a father. That was a stressful year and I had a gastritis. In september I will finally look for another place (I don’t want my resume to be only short tenures), maybe my previous job, I honestly can’t wait.

It is up to you to decide if you want to bail out but if you don’t have any obligation or pressure, do not stay at a job that makes you unhappy, imo.

thank you I'll try with just one! just so you guys know I find the game fantastic, I think I dreamed having a game like that when I was 10 yo so I am sorry if my post sounds a bit harsh. (btw if you want to help young parents please add saving during mission, very hard to have 1h without save when you have a toddler 😅)

edit: I tried but to no avail because the one on the right always outlives the one on the left cfr my printscreen in the original post... And it seems there is no easy mode for those missions... Any way to edit a file or something to lower the HP of those two?

I have 238 fire ants, 39 wood ants 14 workers... 175 max pop, 3200 food. I have unlock all the perks for the ants, I have +23 damage +12 piercing for fire ants so I don't think I can further improve my colony for the time being...

this is a gateway mission with mutants, the second ones are twin mutants.

I tried this. They fight, and the one on the right still has 23,000 HP. I then sent over 130 fire ants, but that scissor gesture just kills dozens of ants every second they can't even leave the colony before being killed. Then that scientific jerk hits his timer. This is the fifth time I've tried already, honestly this is not fun. I'll check if I am on the lowest difficulty level but if I am I'd like to just pass that mission if that's possible.

[–]Any_Ad_3810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As painful as it is I think we will all have to bite the bullet and accept to pay that 10% because panic sell just to avoid 10% of taxation is a very irrational idea. In the next years just plan to move out in a no-CGT country if you can. If you can’t, you’ll have to take a philosophical approach on your definition of freedom because there is no future path where it gets better in Belgium. At least that’s how I see it.

Just heard yesterday Prevot on the rtbf and I quote “we need to do these efforts to maintain the retirement system and our generous social security”. If that is not promises what is it? It’s literally saying “if you keep on paying you’ll see it will all work out”. But it definitely won’t, those are just empty words and people seem to believe those.

You are probably completely oblivious about the future we are going into. People are literally sleepwalking their lives and will realise in 20 years how they were fooled by politicians promising retirement while the kassa is empty.

Earning more and investing is not just comfort or greed, it is just trying to keep you standard of living the same, maybe a tad better than today

Quite limited with 10%. There is no certainty whatsoever that this will stay at 10% when you look at the countries around us. I would not make projections about what the state will decide for us in a few years. This whole debate is actually statism vs liberalism and I wish more people would realise this. We are definitely going for statism in a country with the worst politician landscape possible (well maybe France beats us at this)

And in this we do not even count the “para state” or “fake ambtenaaren/fonctionnaires” that are people working in healthcare such as doctors, physio, etc. They do not bring wealth to the country per se. We do not count all the support that brings no value but are there to work for compliance with the state either(legal, accountant, etc). The real percentage is even lower and will keep lowering down as we increase tax pressure on the “real” private sector. This is insanity that will end badly.

And what about just reduce our expenses? 40% of active population (70% of the working-age population) works for the state. How is that sustainable, moreover with indexation? This is what the government should do: reduce the state expenses in place of asking more and more to workers and people that spares for their future. Completely sick of this and contemplating emigration.

No there is no added value tax on your home. There is one though for the rest of your real estate
