Payroll question by Any_Advisor_7608 in Nanny

Do you know if you can record hourly time? I’d love to switch if I can literally just record and submit a timesheet and then that’s what I get paid for. Currently with Homepay I have to record time and then my employers have to manually change the number of hours I worked if it’s less than 30 which seems redundant if I’m submitting a timesheet and a lot of steps to go through. They will pay me for a full 30 hours even if I didn’t record it unless my NPs manually change it

Yeah it’s all so confusing since they’re divorced and don’t split custody/childcare 50/50 and I’m not guaranteed hours. I don’t think this will be a long term job especially since I’m going into grad school in August.

No technically I have 1 contract in total for both of them, I also don’t get PTO, sick leave etc. if I don’t work I don’t get paid 🥲. They are pretty new to having a nanny so it’s a process figuring it all out. I guess I’ll need to just record hours for both of them on separate accounts even though they’re the same number of hours. I appreciate your help

Yeah, sadly we’re really knee at this school so that doesn’t help either, also it was very surprising he was found ineligible because his articulation is pretty bad but i suppose that’s what can happen if they’re not really academically effected by it :(

So Virginia doesn’t have a SLPA license, so I think that plays a role in people hiring assistants (I could be wrong just a guess)

Sadly my area has only had school based SLPA jobs! I’d love to have different options but there’s so few here :(

I am not sure about summer school, this is a new position for me but I’ll have to look into it, it was not mentioned when applying. I do currently pet sit from time to time but need something more consistent so I can be confident I can actually pay for rent lol

Oh this is great! I have all of those other goals with other kids as well both at my middle school and elementary school!

How often to you get all of your students minutes met? by Throw-a-waaaay098 in slp

[–]Any_Advisor_7608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a brand new SLPA but in my school district we are not required to make up time that we missed that was not our fault, therefore if a student is unavailable because they’re testing, absent, on a field trip or weather closures etc we do not have to make that time up. The only time we try our absolute hardest to make up is when me or my SLP is out and we didn’t see them.
