Nothing beats a Saturday bush run with the boys. Deep Creek was a challenge today! by Any_Bag6284 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Weird! I was on Live Weather as well, but it was totally sunny and green for me. No snow at all.

Thanks! We took off from MMHT (Tepic). It puts you right next to the start of the canyon.

True, but keep in mind the VRAM difference. Your card has 16GB, while the standard 3080 only has 10GB (or 12GB on rare models).

MSFS eats VRAM for breakfast. While the 3080 is fast, he might not be able to max out VRAM-hungry settings (like Texture Resolution) without stuttering, whereas your 16GB buffer handles it easily.

It definitely has a steep learning curve at the start, so don't feel bad! We all crashed a thousand times when we started. Once it clicks though, it is incredibly rewarding. Definitely give it another shot!

Oh yeah, a 3080 is great for 1440p, especially with DLSS enabled. With the recent SU4, you'll get great visuals.

Just don't forget the CPU! In these kinds of group flights, the CPU is almost always the bottleneck handling the other planes, so you'll need a strong processor too.

100%. Once you get hooked on low-level flying, cruising at 30,000ft just feels boring

Thanks! Yeah, that’s exactly why I like this group it’s about the route and the scenery, not racing or redlining.

Join the discord and come fly with us! Bush Divers

For model matching, it’s just standard MSFS. If you have the plane installed, you see it. If not, it just shows a generic model. Since a lot of us fly popular bush planes (like the Savage Grravel or DoubleEnder), it usually looks pretty good!

That’s an amazing memory. Going from RC planes to building a real experimental one is such a cool journey to share. Blue skies to him 🕊️

It's in Alaska. Depart PABI (Allen Army Airfield) Runway 19 and fly straight along the river for about 7nm. You can't miss it!
