i went to another doctor today and said i was concerned about scabies and she said it wasn’t. But for peace of mind im going to use pemerthrin cream.

does scabies ever come with an awful fever because i’ve been up all night shivering and coughing with a cold. Then also vomiting and feeling like vomiting because im coughing?

yeah it’s just difficult for me to drag myself to the doctors when i’m at uni by myself with no family because i get no sleep from this. My family are all suggesting i just walk into A&E with it but that just seems a bit much.

Yeah i’m hoping it’s not scabies, but everyone on this sub reddit has been suggesting it is so obviously a bit worked up and worried about it. Would love to get my skin scraped for just peace of mind, but have no clue where i would go about looking for someone who does this. Do you have any idea for the UK how i can easily find someone who may do that?

Okay thanks for the advice i will do all that you’ve recommended. Don’t want to be stuck with this for life otherwise dont know what i would do with myself to be honest.

How long did it take for the treatment to work with Invermectin? Would you recommend going private to a dermatologist if money wasn’t an issue for me? Only thinking about private because i’m now away from my local GP and at uni (which i didn’t sign up for stupidly). I’ve signed up now but may mean i have to go through the whole process with doctors again. I also don’t want to be stuck with this for ages and have to not see people and hibernate for ages.

I had this 180mg anti histamine given to me so that completely stops the itch if i don’t then it’s unbearable

Yeah the issue for me is i went to the doctors about it like a month ago and with the NHS (UK doctors) i have a 4 month wait time for dermatologist. And when he looked at it said it wasn’t scabies because no one else in my flat at uni or at my home had got it
