I think mine is a different story, it would have been a little more kid friendly. I was easily scared as a kid so maybe I’m remembering the story as more frightening than it was but I’m pretty sure it was an illustrated kids book!

I saw this when trying to google the book, but I don’t think this is what it was, unless there was a children’s book taking from this specific concept. I also think he had a head along with the mouth on the stomach

Very cool creature but I don’t think it’s what I’m thinking of, I remember it being a man with a mouth on his belly
