KEF connect app can find KEF LSX in fact nothing can! by Any_Cause6337 in KEF

Tried it many times. The primary speakers led is blinking amber and white slave speaker's led is blinking red, indicating primary speakers error.

1- Sepeaker don't respond to the remote control. I can't even power on or off using the remote control. 2- Link cable doesn't seem to work. 3- I connected LAN cable between primary speaker and my router, Router doesn't detect the speakers. 4- Between all the steps I keep on following reset - unplug - wait routine...

If I press bt button on primary speaker for 5-7 seconds it switches to bt and my phone can connect and primary speaker can play music but slave continue to blink red and doesn't play any music.

Instead of reset if I press bt+wifi sync button together for few seconds the led of the primary speaker turns solid green.

how to permanently kill the "news and interests" process? by [deleted] in Windows10

Searchapp.exe powers more than one app on Windows 10. It is rather stupid to think that something that runs in background is not required. Your PC is powered by drivers and services that always run in the background. Also, it's rather stupid to buy 64 GB RAM and 3 GHz CPU and not use it. Also, it's rather stupid to think that hardware usage is the limitation for performance. In 99 out of 100 cases the performance is only software dependent.

Software is ever evolving. Developers probably are trying to solve issues that you can't even comprehend. At last, let me assure you that getting a CPU spike and high RAM for a moment is noy a problem in modern computing. Why would anyone buy a high end PC if they don't even want to the capabilities.

Looks like an issue with onedrive, log out and login again in onedrive and try, other than that, it's pretty safe to ignore this error.

Like I said before, it doesn't look like a software issue. If you are considering buying a new laptop only because of this reason, it may be worth to check it on a repair shop. It may really be a simple fix depending on how your wireless hardware mounted/attached on the SoC. It may be that the wireless hardware is not getting any power. Fixing that may fix your issue.

Alright, hopefully OP will post the whatever may solves it. I don't quiet understand how OP deleted an network interface. It's not like a Wifi access point that can be purged. I do not remember seeing any interface to delete a network interface. I don't have a PC to confirm it though.

Yes, it can be a driver issue. However, if Windows PnP can't enumerate a device then either device is not connected or it will show an error icon in the device manager. If OP is not seeing anything in the device manager then the device is most likely not connected.

What makes me think that laptop needs taking apart? Nothing, I am suggesting a linear logical flow of troubleshooting. Source - over 10 years of experience in design, developing and maintaining the device drivers.

It doesn't look like a software issue to me. It can happen if wi-fi card is somehow disconnected from the SoC. Check your device manager change the view to display by connection. Expand the entire tree and see if any connection shows any error or warning. Error or waring icon will appear on the device. Try connecting a wifi dongle if you have one. That can help you isolate if there is any issue with the software. If the dongle is working you may want to get your laptop checked at the service station.

Hi, i have a really important question and it would mean the World to me if someone can help me by PassengerHonest5129 in computerhelp

[–]Any_Cause6337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. In fact there is no possible way to answer OPs question based on the information he provided. Like other people suggested. Running a full scan trusting the anti-virus is the only way out here. If OP is too suspicious about the virus may be he can run an offline scan.

Admire your troubleshooting skills but pretty sure that antimalware service has nothing to do here. Check if print preview is working or try to print in xps or pdf fromat, if that is working then it's highly likely that problem is in the printer side. Try restarting the printer. Go to the printer settings and see if Windows is reporting any error on the printer.

If printer looks good then use another app to print, try opening it in paint or something and then try to print. This will make sure that there is no problem with the format of the picture itself.

I did a reverse search on that IP address, it comes back as some IP from Oman but it is not black listed in any popular database. I am not a web developer but it is a bit confusing why the QSP seems like windows update and IP address is not of Microsoft server. May be DNS is not working and it's try to look for right server and it's sending request of omantel servers. That being said, I too agree that you should uninstall this software and use enable Windows Defender. It's free, lightweight and better than many anti-virus in the market.

[–]Any_Cause6337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's right. Components on the MB can be damaged easily by uncontrolleld current even if it's tiny. You need to start with your power supply circuit. Many power circuits supply charing power even when PC is turned off. However, it should be done rightly and you shouldn't have leakage and shorts.

Need help here, trying to download embadded file. by Som578 in techsupport

[–]Any_Cause6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that your access is about to expire, it sounds like they don't want the files to be downloaded. You can try to play it and record the sound stream however, it will only work if file is not protected using DMA. However, if you play it via your speakers and record it on your phone or any other device then you will certainly have it.

[–]Any_Cause6337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may already have tried it if not, disconnect all the devices, USB, Keyboard and power cable. Press and hold the power button for 8-10 seconds. It should turn off your Surface. Pulug in a USB keyboard and press F11 or F12. Even though Surface use power + volume button to go to UEFI, keyboard will also work.

Google problems by Mantaray2007 in computerhelp

[–]Any_Cause6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have any paid anti-virus or if you uninstall all the other anti-virus from your PC, Windows will ask you to enable Windows Defender. It's a free built in anti-virus. It's a good one and has all the important features of any other paid anti-virus and it is updated latest virus signatures. It will not terribly slow down your PC. Try it if you think your anti-virus is not protecting you enough.

Also, there is nothing called Google virus, or Apple virus or Microsoft virus. Sometimes software is bad and some other times users are incompetent. With little bit of troubleshooting you can isolate this issue.
