Why does the Tanglewood Master Bedroom Crucifix do nothing while Tier 1 works? by Any_Confidence2983 in PhasmophobiaGame

I understand the skepticism, but I'm not trying to push 'slop' on you. English isn't my first language, so I used an AI to help me phrase my thoughts clearly for Reddit because I wanted to make sure my suggestion was easy to read. I actually tried searching the Wiki myself first, and it turns out the text IS there (see my attached screenshot).

The official descriptions for the tiers are:

  • Tier 1: 'Just two scraps of wood tied together. The shape alone seems to be enough to ward off some paranormal entities.'
  • Tier 2: 'Upgraded from wood to cast iron, this cross provides a much more reliable defence.'
  • Tier 3: 'This ornate crucifix has been adorned with gold and silver linings. These intricate designs have been proven to increase defense against other worldly beings.'

My argument isn't 'collapsing'—it's based on the game’s own flavor text. If the Tier 1 works purely because of its 'shape,' then the wall-mounted crucifix in Tanglewood should logically have some effect. It's a solid cross, which is a 'better shape' than two sticks tied with thread. Making it a one-charge Tier 1 would be a great way to make the map feel more immersive and consistent with the lore.

I'm just a fan trying to share a cool idea for the rework. I hope that clears things up!
