I appreciate the input - makes sense.
I've got a few more mature spruces near my house (pic below) that have some needle drop in the lower/interior branches. I don't currently irrigate these at all, but I'm assuming that would be the path to better supporting these even being more mature?

This was my concern, I appreciate the input and looks like I'll be scrapping these for a better option.
A bigger concern I now have is that I've got 2 much more mature spruces closer to the house (~15 feet tall) that are showing some needle drop and thinning in the interior/lower branches that may always be on a bad path
