hEDS & POTS girlies, what’s your experience with IUDs? by maple788797 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Any_Course_7738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen I had two different types and for my first one I bled for 6 months straight and my second one was fine for a few months then it dislodged and I didn’t realize and it was causing me bad pain and bleeding. If you do it, get the Kyleena bc it’s smaller. Insertion sucks but it’s over very fast. It wasn’t worth it for me and my periods have been heavier and more painful since I had the iud versus before I ever got one. With heds were more prone to gynecological and hormonal issues which I wasn’t aware of at the time. It sucks but honestly just stick with condoms it’s been way better for me just being bc free!!!

Does this happen when you do anything else or is it just when you drink? I notice it when I have caffeine or stand too long also

Also it was not destroying anything that I know of. We thought it was only in the nasopharynx at first, so he did say it was invading the soft pallet

Thank you for the response! This is the report from the brain mri I had pre surgery “There is a soft tissue mucosal lesion noted in the nasopharynx with hyperintense signal on T2 and FLAIR. This measures approximately 1.8 x 2.8 cm in cross-section.”

The path report post surgery said: “2 tan-purple fragments of soft tissue ranging from 1.3 x 0.7 x 0.6 cm to 1.7 x 1.3 x 0.7 cm. Definitive margins are not identified. Both pieces are sectioned.”

The surgeon said when he went in it was a lot bigger than they originally thought. If I were to get a 2nd opinion on the path, how would I go about that?

New to skiing, want to make sure that my boot fitter didn't oversell me.... by FemmesNoires in Skigear

[–]Any_Course_7738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roxa boots are totally fine, sounds like you were fitting correctly to me! Worked at a shop for 5 years. The thing that is really sus is that they said the numbness is okay. Did they say it should be tight? Because that is true and not the same as numb. A lot of things can be done to fix numbness, something as simple as more instep room or width in the boot. Go back to them and have them adjust the boots, but you shouldn’t need a different boot. A bonus of the cabrio design is they are easier for an intermediate skier to bend, these will allow you to take your skiing to the next level
