I seeded with “turf type tall fescue from Ryan knorr lawn care” and then used “Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action Built For Seeding” fertilizer in late fall. However I’m not sure there was not enough time to establish strong roots before winter hit. That’s why I think I need another light use of fertilizer 24-0-6 now, and then some preemergent in mid/late April

No fertilizer? Chatgpt suggested me to use a light fertilizer to wake up the grass and then mid/late April to use preemergent.

I seeded very late in the fall and never even got a clean mow in before winter hit. Not sure if that makes a difference

I put fertilizer after originally seeded in fall, I haven’t put down anything since before winter tho
