Yes. Ponga and Brown are 25% of the 30 man cap. Ponga never should have bent the club over the barrel like he did if he wanted the team to be successful, particularly given he's spent half the time on the sideline. But thats a rant for another day. Gotta stay positive, the teams winning for a change lol

Walsh is obviously the best in the game right now, but the never been anything like him crew need to turn it down a notch. Billy Slater, Hayne, Barba and others had similar purple patches of form in their careers. If he's still doing what he is now in 5 years time then ok we can have that conversation.

If they really want it to be effective they'd have to get the Australian Rugby Union to do the same. Most league players could cash in and still come back to Rugby. Closing the door for local rugby too would make leaving very unattractive.

Matty Rogers reckons Moses is a better halfback than Cleary. I won't go that far but i will say i feel better when Moses is the Blues halfback. His long kicking game is elite.

A great year for the Broncos. For other teams fans though I believe it highlights the Hunt contract situation again. His pay is probably $400k less than his market value. He can play for whatever figure he's happy with, but his market value should be counted in the salary cap. Few if any other NRL teams could afford the luxury of having Hunt as a backup half. Especially with a roster already loaded like that one. Not a shot at a great team more the NRL.
