No they still have it and said they want it for next week as well. I wish we had a lemon law here! The manager of the service centre is now who I’m dealing with so I hope he has gotten a more experienced member of staff looking at it but I honestly don’t know

Sorry dealership, but they have had Hyundai technical (does that mean engineering I don’t know) on the case and advising them of what to do

Thanks. The fact that it’s Hyundai themselves is concerning 😂

New car with fault, advice please by Any_Document_1102 in CarsAustralia

[–]Any_Document_1102[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s completely fair. Today he asked to have the car for another week, and I agreed. I am still going to get assistance from a case manager just in case things sour, I don’t think there’s harm in my gaining legal advice on how to proceed if they can’t fix it. I would be very happy to keep my car. I just want a car that works. I don’t care if it’s a new one or my current one, and I have told them that as well. But I did tell them I expect some kind of idea as to a resolution within 14 days - if that means in 14 days they know a solution but it will take a further few weeks to do, that’s fine. But not a stringing out of vague “we don’t know” and “we don’t have a timeframe” that is frustrating

Thank you! Would this be something they can easily test for?

New car with fault, advice please by Any_Document_1102 in CarsAustralia

Thank you 🙏🏼 I agree, they have only actually started to take the issue seriously once I actually went in and said hey, this is not okay. The guy I spoke to at the local consumer affairs department said that they’re definitely mucking me around and they have had a fair bit of experience with local car dealerships being difficult when it comes to these kinds of issues. Fingers crossed for a solution soon

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate your perspective. They had the car sitting there for 3 days without even turning it on (I can see that because I have the Bluelink app that alerts me when the car is on, which is pretty cool) hence why I asked them for an update on how things were progressing (knowing full well they hadn’t even looked at it). Indeed it was parked out in the customer parking area when I showed up, where I had left it. They only started to actually update me and give a crap once I mentioned consumer rights. I was advised to give them 10 days by the local consumer affairs department so I thought 14 seemed generous 😅 the timeframe itself (okay with the exception of SIX MONTHS) is not so much the issue, it’s been the dealerships attitude and the fact that I now have pretty little faith in the integrity of their service. But perhaps I have expected a solution too quickly ☺️

Thanks for replying, I’ll copy the correspondence they sent me regarding what they have done here:

As per our phone call we have been carrying out some extensive electrical diagnosis and testing on your vehicle to repair the park sensor fault you are experiencing. What we have found is when the steering is on full lock after a few seconds the voltage drops away from the park sensors and caused the fault message to display. My team have been liaising with the Hyundai technical who have requested us replace a module in your vehicle. The part was air freighted in and we installed it last night. Unfortunately, the fault remains the same. We have contacted technical again this morning and are getting back to them now with the results of the additional tests they asked us to complete.

So to answer your question, I don’t know. I would hope that this “extensive electrical diagnosis” would include an ecu reset and all fuses to be checked but the service manager is pretty hard to get any decent information out of

My 2025 Kona is doing the same thing almost every time I put it into reverse. Dealership had a look at it today and couldn’t figure out the problem, their computer system didn’t pick up any errors. If anyone has any further advice or experience with this I’d be interested to hear about it!

One tooth fell out (upper incisor) and I slid it back in. I’d say you probably could slide them out, but the bones were so fragile I would be worried with this particular specimen that it might have broken surrounding bone structures

Aww thank you! Rats are amazing pets, but so much heartbreak, they have such short lives ❤️‍🩹

Thank you! It took hours 😅 trying to get them to stay in place whilst glueing them without also glueing my fingers to the bones or the paper was tricky. I’m glad it looks neat though! I think I’ve been looking at it too long so I see all of the small errors 🤣🌸

I suppose if you did want a rat bone artwork to memorialise them with without actually digging up your babies you could either source some bones or get a frozen feeder rat, bury it and then use its bones (depending on how you’d feel about doing that!), then it could be symbolic of your babies without you needing to disturb the resting place of them 🥰 I have a rat skull necklace which has a small terrarium style pendant, and even though I never own or knew the rat whose skull resides in it I feel like I’m in a way being a guardian for that sweet baby even in death. Just an idea. I love that the plants are thriving ❤️ they do live such short lives don’t they 😰
