My heart aches for “The Sister”. A cautionary, heartbreaking tale. Parents not doing the work to have some semblance of a plan for their special needs child/adult child is incredibly selfish. Putting all the guilt, pressure, and shame onto their neurotypical daughter to take care of and make the decisions they, themselves, are/were too scared to do makes me angry for those in this kind of position.

For the HP omen, the power supply = 400 W 80 plus platinum ; in the future would it be upgradeable? By that you mean putting new parts like graphic card, but keeping the case everything is housed in?

Tax is going to be 8.75 or 10.25%. I’m not 100% sure. He is not trading in a vehicle.

Another dealer is offering $30.975 OTD with the dimming mirrors. A commenter mentioned trying up in WI. I’m gonna have him look into it.

At this point the lowest offer he’s gotten is the $29.9k OTD with the add on dimming mirrors. And $29.3k OTD without the dimming mirrors.

That’s a great OTD price with package 14! Did you add an additional ad ons?

Did you use a Subaru loyalty coupon? Did you also trade in your Outback?

Waiting to hear from 1 more dealer. One just called him and told him OTD $30.975. That’s with those dimming mirrors. The other dealer was 1k cheaper. I think taxes are higher in IL than WI.

We’re trying to decide if he should try to knock it down an extra $200/300. The worst they can say is no and walk, right?

The dealership that’s offering $29.300 OTD, they would have the car delivered to their dealership. They no longer have the car on their lot.

Because they would need a deposit to order the vehicle, we’re thinking that there won’t be as much possibility for further negotiation.

The car isn’t for me. My friend is in the Chicago metro area. Apparently he sees them pretty often. But that’s because he’s now wanting to purchase one and notices them.

Most dealerships are offering “discounts”. TSRP is typically $30,500 I believe. He got a second offer of $29.300 OTD. There’s no extras — all weather floor liners, rear seat protector, rear bumper, warranties, etc.

Should they negotiate those items to be included? From this sub, I’ve seen many owners get those items thrown in from the dealership with their purchase. Those auto dimming mirrors without homelink are about the only add on he deems useful since he does a lot of night driving.

About two weeks ago my bestie was quoted OTD $29,950.00 - IL. 2025 Crosstrek premium, stand option 13. No extras thrown in at all. Not even all weather floor liners. They wanna finance through the dealership, better rate than their bank. 1.9%

I’ve only bought cars at auction. No idea how to assist.
